I would be very surprised if Marvel could repeat such a successful legacy...

I think Marvel knows this. They would be absolutely daft to think they could jump into this magic once more. A lot of this was careful planning, but there's no way the big movers in this franchise would discount luck beging a massive part of it all.

All that to be said, I think if they return to the smaller, core stories that birthed these first 10 years, they can do it again. But it hinges on them pacing themselves properly.

Looking at the Phase 4 line-up, it does appear that Marvel is going to do that. Phase 4 looks like Phase 1 again (character introductions) and I don't think we'll see who the next big bad will be until the end of Phase 4 or well into Phase 5.
