Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This has got to be the most marketed Avengers film to date IMO, it better deliver because the hype is off the charts .

Wasn’t a fan of AOU film unfortunately :lecture

CW which technically labeled a Cap film and IW brought back the magic but what worked was the addition of all the other MCU characters , so now we are back to the main Avengers team with some extra characters like AM and CM so I really hope they wrote a good plot :dunno

Funny - I wasn't - and am not - a big IW fan. As time has gone on I've appreciated AOU more and more, esp. the fight scenes and "lavish" sets and things that are just so d*mn cool when I think about it, like the introduction of the Hulkbuster. And I LIKE Ultron's character various reasons.

Didn't care for a number of things in IW. But. No matter what - including my frustration with CM being stuffed into End Game - for me unless it's really, really off-putting I'm in for the 3 opening weekend shows. The Russos DID direct and put out my 2 favorite MCU films (TWS and CW). They have survived the Disney machine e.g. other directors on occasion have quit. They ARE long time comic book fans who care about what they do.

Is it the 25th yet?:impatient::monkey3

Meanwhile since EG is an EVENT maybe I should frame my tickets under UV protective glass:

Interest in Endgame is high, with online websites for AMC Theatres and Fandango becoming clogged with traffic after tickets went on sale Tuesday. Both companies, along with Atom Tickets, are reporting that ticket sales in the first 24 hours are the biggest in history, surpassing previous record holder Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Not that anyone cares, but this is how my Endgame weekend plays out (so far):

Thursday, April 25th: 6:00 PM 3D IMAX with five other people, at a theater that's about 35 minutes from my home.
Thursday, April 25th: 10:20 PM 2D Digital with my adult (he's 26) nephew, at the same theater as above.
Friday, April 26th: 12:00 PM 2D Digital with that same nephew, at a theater that's less than 10 minutes from my house. I'm off of work on Friday.
Friday, April 26th: 8:00 PM 2D Digital with my oldest daughter (she's 14), at the same theater as above.
Saturday, April 27th: 10:00 AM 2D Digital with all three of my kids, at the same theater as above.

That's what I have tickets for so far. So, in an approximate time frame of 43 hours, I'll see the movie 5 times.

Well there was no doubt in my mind they had to “ stuff CM into Endgame “ there was no other way after IW, in IG, CM was pivotal and a huge part of the story. I think what baffles me being that Feige, Russo bros and the MCU like to keep the films close to the comics is the missing element of Adam Warlock, unless they plan for a surprise reveal in AEG. Warlock, CM and Death were a huge part of the IG story. And neither Warlock or Death has been mentioned yet in the AEG film.

I wonder what they are planning, perhaps Feige was thinking of the series that followed IG..Infinity ( forgot the rest of the name ) but the hardcore comic fans know what I’m talking about :dunno

That's a lot. My first viewing is 3D, the second is VIP (booze and big comfy seats etc.) -- if I do a third it'll likely be IMAX.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Somebody posted on Instagram the ticket sales on ebay for the famous Hollywood theater showings of AEG like Mann’s Chinese in Hollywood.

The ticket prices for these are more than ridiculous..they are absolutely ludicrous!

One showing is already up to $900 for one ticket/ one showing :horror

GOTG3 was tabled for a while (re Adam Warlock) - there's already chatter of the next great villain possibilities - suspect some things are being held back to impress after Thanos. I could see Adam Warlock being really introduced with the next GOTG.

IMO there were ways around "needing" a CM - not making more use of SW bothers me the most that way. IF IW had been written that way...but it wasn't, and EG includes CM - for me, and I suspect for at least some others, I hope she isn't pivotal - even tho CM described as a main character with the PR and merchandise. TBH tho am sure she'll do her thing for some final battle, hope Thanos gets her off the board pretty early on in EG. Russos said they dealt with her being super-powered, so hafta see.:dunno

Wow... one movie and Spiderman is already in 2nd position.

Hulk relegated to the sidelines. Thor to the background. So many people missing.

And no Ant-Man? The guy who will save everyone in EG.

Ant man and Wasp are on Hawkeyes arrow on the left teamwork poster.
Deadpool made it in as did Thanos.
No Pepper or Fury however, odd.

Ah-ha! There they are. I thought that was really weird. Totally forgot about Fury, I guess they did too. :lol

Sucks, Fury really did start it all.

Who's in the Revolution poster? Is that alternate universe Red Skull?

Oh... that make more sense. I couldn't figure that one out.

So Thanos is the only villain that makes an appearance? Wish there was more easter eggs.

Easter Eggs: Tony Stank, Stan Lee cutting Shwarma, Doc Strange doing balloon animals...

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Are they still including the break within the movie?

Anyone knows what kind of footage they showed in Cinemacon?
