Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I have a theory she gets her ass kicked or dies. She doesn’t have a quantum suit or is seen with antman

As long as Thanos destroys her, works for me. In fact, I am rooting for Thanos until then.

Is it reasonable to ask those who are going to reveal "potential" or "rumored" spoilers/plot/theory you saw somewhere that even has a remote chance of being true to put those in spoiler tags?

Man I wish Thor would have put his hand in front of her face instead of to the side.

Maybe when they go back in time they can pull a Deadpoole and recast CM with Emily Blunt or Katheryn Winnick.:wink1:

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Wishful thinking. But it looks like we stuck with her for now. I'm just trying to make the best of it.

I haven't been to a movie in a while where people cheered the villain on when a less-favorite disposable character gets taken out. That will be fun. The un-fun part will be when Brie's eyes pop open w. CGI and she grimaces for a second like she's got acid reflux and then she's back, heroically sucking up screen time.

Srsly watching the clip - her inclusion kinda flattened my excitement a bit. It's like getting beat over the head:thwak w. the fact the MCU is shifting and possibly not for the better. In a movie where Feige could've waited for that kind of stuff. Oh, well, least there will be extra $$$ for TV series. Disney gets me coming and going.:mwaha

There just something about Brie’s personality that seems to bring out a visceral reaction in people. I just find her a bit annoying, But my girl (who is normally a very kind and sweet person) really despises her.

Check out this young lady’s rant, it even makes me feel a little bad for Brie. Be warned she gets loud at times!

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I was really bored with the Marvel movies and stopped paying much attention, but Infinity War was so good it sucked me right back in. I was very excited to see the conclusion.

All this Captain Resting ***** Face crap has completely killed my enthusiasm. Having that killjoy shoehorned in for no reason ruined it for me. I'm just gonna read spoilers and not bother seeing it in the theater. I know it doesn't matter one iota to The Mouse but I feel better about not financially supporting garbage.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Here’s something interesting about Capt.Marvel/Brie Larson in this movie: The Russo’s said in an interview I just read that she did this movie first, before her stand alone movie. Which is why she’s got a bit of a different look going on (i.e. more makeup) So the Russo’s had first shot at molding how Capt.Marvel comes across in the MCU which might give us a bit different attitude from the character rather then the less likable take we got from her after she had more time to think about her origin story and how the standalone director might’ve influenced her. Follow what I’m trying to say? We might dodge a bullet with her character in this story, hopefully.

That made me feel better.

I can only speak to the clip. CM still comes across as a cocky fighter jock, not a seasoned superhero. She’s speaking about a foe that she has never encountered before and knows very little about. how is she so sure she can make a difference? If she would have said something like “maybe with me, it will be enough of a difference, we have to at least try.” She would sound more like a hero. The best thing that can happen to the character, is on her first encounter with Thanos she loses, and she gains some much-needed humility.

Great SIG PIX BTW

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

The hate Against captain marvel is so extra and phony. She is just as bland and thin as every single character in these movies. Same goes for her solo movie. It’s not even deep enough to see a significant difference in quality acting wise or movie wise. But I suppose an opinion is an opinion. She’s obviously not going to be the main hero of the movie, I mean just look at the poster. I don’t see what everyone has to be so threatened by. The point is that she has that power from that thingy which is how she fits into this whole “you didn’t have me before” Maybe I’m missing something. That clip actually got me kind of back into this whole mcu thing

I don't feel "threatened" by a fictional character. I just don't like her. She's a crappy character.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Yeah maybe, but there are a lot of other crappy ones in the movie with this culmination of 1000 characters. Even if you are a huge mcu fan you gotta admit.

Well this is too bad isn't it? Cause you're getting a lot more of her in Endgame :)

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

At first, I thought, this was just an internet goof. but I listened to the official clip through headphones and at 49s as Thor is walking towards CM, you can hear a ghostly female voice saying "I have telepathy" I’m assuming this is coming from CM. I don’t think captain marvel ever had telepathy before. In all, it seems kind of lame. Maybe we’ll find out she’s force sensitive also. Or it could be someone else, but who?

UPDATE Reddit is reporting that this is just Thor’s breathing mixed with his footsteps as he approaches Carol., and the resulting sound being something that vaguely resembles a woman’s whisper. I have listened to it several times and even without headphones, it quite clear to me. But who knows? One thing is certain Marvel know how to create buzz around they're movies.
