Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

That made me feel better.

Ditto LOL:lol

I can only speak to the clip. CM still comes across as a cocky fighter jock, not a seasoned superhero. She’s speaking about a foe that she has never encountered before and knows very little about. how is she so sure she can make a difference? If she would have said something like “maybe with me, it will be enough of a difference, we have to at least try.” She would sound more like a hero. The best thing that can happen to the character, is on her first encounter with Thanos she loses, and she gains some much-needed humility.

Figure the Russos at least know the comics enough (and all the reboots) that they are just doing what they can with this version of the character (and IMO the wrong actress). They didn't hire her. Way back re early articles on CW they never mentioned her so I figure she was never a focal point for them, then or later. I don't need her learning humility and teamwork in End Game. I need Thanos to take her out fast so the film gets back to characters that actually matter. Too bad she'll pop right back up again tho (probably).

One of these things doesn't belong.

Reminds me of last year when they broke out RDJ to do press tours with Boseman e.g. reassuring. Tho IMO Black Panther didn't need that.

More shilling. I keep looking for other characters with this PR stuff and They.Are.Just.Not.There.:monkey2:monkey2:monkey2

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This movie is bittersweet for me...

I'm looking forward to this movie more than anything else this year. Especially Star Wars, which is an amazing testament to Feige... and I suppose to Kennedy/JJ as well, but in the opposite direction.

But once I see Endgame in just a couple weeks, then... it's over. The MCU is essentially over. Sure, they will force a more movies, but without this impending finale... it's game over. Fitting movie title for sure. The 10 year plan was amazing. But now... it's over.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Well yeah, but why look at that as a bad thing? Stories are supposed to have endings.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Oh I agree, and there's nothing I hate more than something that drags out and never finishes.

But its a bit sad all the same.

But then again, we'll be free of Marvel's grip on the action-adventure genre... which could be very refreshing.

Yeah. Tho - "sometimes the best we can do is to start over"...

I mean the comic inspiring stuff is so rich - on of the reasons I'm looking forward to the TV series. May be a cynical move on Disney's part, but why not?

There's details I wish I could have seen.

IMO one of the bigger issues with the movies tho is wanting to keep the dollars rolling in. E.g. possibly if u did an expensive, very adult oriented film, you'd lose $$$. Maybe:dunno
Hard to say with audiences. Would you take risks, when you're a company used to massive success.

But I figure at least I was there for it all - been amazing too for the most part.:clap

Nothing is over .....NOTHING!

The time travel nonsense will create an alternate dimension where the IW story will be told over and over with different outcomes.

One where Peter saves the day with Doc OC, then another where silly Red Skull keep control over the Tesseract and takes over the world , only to take on Thanos....

I could go on.

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

Directors teased wolverine. I swear they better stop going back and forth with this. If I see one fox character in endgame I’ll die

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I wonder in the film does Cap get the new suit from Stark or S.H.I.E.L.D. :dunno

Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

This should be the easiest toy production ever, same suits, different heads,

Didnt the rumors say that something about wolverine?
