So does this movie mean Thanos has taken the mantle of biggest mass murder in a movie away from Luke Skywalker?

Saw this movie for a second time yesterday - I like it even more!

Second viewing always gives you a chance to appreciate the cinematography and construction of the movie - there was a lot to like.

Silvestri's score is brilliant (nice for the MCU to actually have a memorable score for once), I added it to my playlist this morning and it really holds up well and can be enjoyed outside of the movie. I wish MCU had bothered to have good scores from the start - that's my biggest gripe with this series (an area where the DECU actually outshines them, specifically Man of Steel and BVS). The use of the score was great and the abrupt silence when Tony gets stabbed by his own blade really emphasized that moment.

I like the meta context of the snap, half the MCU were erased within the movie and at the same time Infinity War basically erased Marvel's Distinguished Competition (the DCEU) from existence / relevance in the real world.

Watching again last night for the second time totally changed the context of poor Rocket’s response when Thor says he has nothing left to lose.

Rocket’s response, a mumbled “I have a lot to lose” was funny the first time and awful the second - he literally will lose everything.

The Wakanda charge with that score booming is epic.

YES! to both. Noted the power of the way Tony's scene was done more the 2nd viewing. Just perfection. Acting by RDJ was awesome.

he literally will lose everything.

Yes, little things like that I caught 2nd time too.

Mark's trolling - love it.

Asgardians really got raped hard didn’t they.

They learned that their leader Odin was a liar who locked Hela away because he had created a monster.

Their home gets destroyed because Odin son couldn’t defeat Hela with a one on one battle so he had to bring Ragnarok down upon Asgard as his only means of victory.

The few remaining Asgardians then run smack into Thanos.

Odinson AGAIN can’t defeat another threat and once again fails defending his people temporary home by losing to Thanos.

Thor returns after defeat and gets one more shot at taking out Thanos and once AGAIN FAILS which leads to Thanos killing trillions.

Boy that Thor 3 is such a fun comedy isn’t it lol

Think about that Thor 3 the comedy is intrinsically darker than anything Snyder was trying to make look serious.
