Ok Mr Conspiracy lol. You're right tho. It's much easier to buy one....Digitally ;)

Videogames will all be streaming only if the game industry has their way and they are having their way.

Say goodbye to consoles and discs next Gen will probably be the last one and say goodbye to Gamestop.

people dont revisit games the same way they revisit movies. most people play a game once, maybe twice.

some people watch a movie as much as 50 times.

Doubt it. Too many old people still buy discs. Even after my parents generation are gone, my generation will still buy discs. My kids like buying digital but I’ve instilled in them the value of owning the disc that you can sell, lend out, or trade in once you’re done with it. Once they understood the logic in it they stopped buying digital.

There may be a push for it but I doubt we will see the end of physical copies any time soon. Maybe I’m too old to understand or maybe just too wise to fall for their ********.

Did you guys know that they wanted to have people to pay EVERY time you watched a movie?

did you guys know that? thats the future that Ehollywood is rooting for....

the future Ehollywood is bragging about

They wanted it to be so that you could only watch if you paid 1.99 per view EVEN if you owned it....

thats the model movie studios wanted to create......

Sounds like heaven right? i bet Ehollywood is jumping in joy....
WOW having to pay for your eyes to watch something every single time WOO!!

THE FUTURE IS AMAZING

Agreed.

Some people thought, a few years ago, that eBooks would be the end of libraries. They were wrong.

More and more younger people are coming into my local library for physical books because, as I was told, "there's no better feeling then opening up a book, turning the pages and reading".

people still buy records.

In Fact record sales did better than any other media including digital in the past couple of months. Vinyl is making a huge comeback and it is doing extremely well. Target sells their own record players now.

people still buy VHS and there is a huge underground market for old horror movies in VHS that can cost up to 200 dollars per tape. same with old disney movies.
the quality of the tapes, that grainy older 80s look is what people want in those old movies.

If they go that route then I'll buy my last movie before this happens and then they can kiss my ***. I'll NEVER pay for each viewing.

I’m with Kit on this one disc all the way.

Just be patient wait the extra 3-4 weeks and you’ll get the digital along with the disc.

Are digital only releases cheaper I don’t even check but i’m guessing yes like $5.00 maybe?

Yes physical boxes take up space that can go to collectibles instead (lol) but I enjoy having them all on the shelf.

My first 2 home viewings are always off the disc just so that I get the best presentation possible but after viewing 2 i’m ok with being lazy and watching the digital.

Only digital doesn’t sit well with me even with the saving in space.

I sold my VHS stash (except the rare ones) when Blu-ray became the THING and now have slowed down on buying Blu-rays. It has freed up a ton of room for statues, figures and such. I've become very picky in my purchases now due to streaming. I'll only make an exception with 3D and 4k physical copies. I have both 4K and 3D TVs. If it's regular format, it's being bought Digital.

The space that is freed up is not insignificant either when we’re talking about box sets and 2,000 bluray boxes :horror

But when a nuke finally goes off in midtown Manhattan and there is no more electricity I will at least have the box covers to read.

I once saw someones apartment with 500 toy pops still in their boxes stacked up against the wall plus another 2,500 blurays on the opposite wall. :thud:
