ill be passing as well, ive got all the predators i wanted. im gonna start saving for a few avp-r alien warriors ( if they dont have breakage issues) and and an ALIEN QUEEN!@!@

Maybe it's just me, but I thought the Preds in AvP1 went down way too easily, especially Celtic and Chopper. I hate so say this, but they were almost wimpy. It was really kind of embarrassing. Wolf, on the other hand, looks to be an expert hunter... a crafty, seasoned, alien-bagging, bad-ass Elder who swats xenomorphs like flies. Have to wait and see the movie, but I think we're going to see a whole new kind of Predator in AVP:R.

no ****.. chopper didnt even see what hit him, celtic goes and plays tag team with the grid. and that scar removes the only thing between facehuggers and his ugly mug while stuck in an infested maze. avp felt more like a hunt for challenged preds. oddly enough the only character i liked in avp was the grid alien.

Totally. Grid Alien was the most interesting character. Scar had a fun character bit in the deleted scenes where he plays with a dead Alien's brain to shock Lex, but without that scene, Grid Alien and his story was the only thing worth following.

But if we were to be completely honest, AvP as a film was ... a disappointment at best. But my God the art design on the creatures was fantastic! I've seen the movie once (and hated it) but my Hot Toys Scar, Celtic and Elder are the prize of my collection. So, yes, the Predator's got their ***** handed to them time and again by the Aliens (Supposedly they were punk kids who didn't know any better, but come on, Chopper! And Celtic in the movie wasn't much better from what I remember.) but they looked good doing it.

I have a small Mcfarlane one, but I'm hoping to get the Grid Alien after Xmas...

As for Wolf...He looks great...juts great...I thought I saw double plasma cannons in the trailer...

I got the Grid alien last year from a dealer in Singapore, and I have to say I have loved all the HT Aliens so far (in fact they're my favourites) but the paint apps on the head make this my least favourite of the whole bunch. I'm still glad I have it, but having seen some of the amazing paint apps coming from them now, it just seemed a little sloppy.
That was back when it was a supposedly a 'Blister exclusive'. so I guess the SST ecxclusive may have been improved.

I noticed that also, its kinda blotched on and doesnt look fine at all. I bet you could probably do a mad custom to an existing Alien Warrior. Les would make it rock

I got my Grid in Japan when it first came out, and the box did have the "Blister Exclusive" sticker on the box. Not that it meant all that much, 'cause they were available almost everywhere. There were supposedly only 200 made, at least that's what I read on Blister's website, but it seems there must be a lot more of 'em around. Maybe they just didn't sell as well as expected, which is why SSC and other places are still getting them now.


While it would be nice if the SSC "Exclusive" is an improved version, I wouldn't count on it... unless someone has one with photos that prove otherwise. I'm satisfied with mine, and he's still a novelty being a "hero" alien and all. I've already made plans to remedy the little shortcomings with the paint apps and lightly scored grid lines. I'm sure he'll look a whole lot better after a bit of futzing.

Btw, I think Wolfie would've vaporized Griddy in a heartbeat if he'd been in that goofy movie, but even a human outperformed those other Preds, so they were certainly no match for a scrappy xenomorph like Grid.
