I think the rusting hoses problem was only with Celtic and Scar.

And yeah, Scar seems to be popping up a lot, lately. Personally, I don't know why he goes for such ridiculous prices, he wasn't that cool of a Predator and seems abit too generic, IMHO.

If anything, I'll end up getting Wolf, the P2 Elder, P1 Predator and just trade/sell off my Ancient Asia Elder Predator and then that's about it for Preds, unless they make the Lost Hunters or some of the Preds from the comics...

Yeah i know what you mean, but on the other hand they are ok looking. Scar is probably so expensive because he was the first released and is the hero Predator

Eh, the Hot Toys AVP Preds are alright, though like Ive mentioned before, they're way too bland. They all basically have the same armor except some have little add ons(Scar's abdomen plate, Chopper's skull rig and arm blades) and different masks, but then again, Anderson and ADI are to blame because they didn't even bother to give them alittle more uniqueness.

Wolf looks pretty good, though the left hand looks abit big and the legs are too skinny, but either way, I'll still get him.

Wolf will look awesome dude, especially that face sculpt, they know they have to go top notch with his sculpt seeing as the battle damaged face is a drawcard to the figure

WOOO, just pre-ordered from Toy Square (toys2.net).

They were insanely good with me when I ordered the P2 Elder, and their shipping was awesome. I can't wait till this thing gets released!

That would be almost too much to expect, but I'm hoping the same thing. Any time in January would be cool, but sooner is better.

About the rusting hose issue... if anyone has or gets an AvP Pred with rusted hoses you can probably remove it with a small piece of fine steel wool or even a fingernail. To prevent them from rusting you could wipe 'em down with a very light coat of petroleum jelly or some type of light oil. If you happen to live in a an area with high humidity, then definitely take preventive measures, especially after handling the hoses, which is likely to promote rust. :D

That'd be the best thing for them, releasing the figures along with the hype of the movie - striking while the iron is hot and all. Then again, I'm sure a big percentage of the people wanting them probably pre-ordered, and they might not really care about getting them out quickly. As weird as it sounds, I can't wait to see the packaging, Hot Toys does a really good job on those outer sleeves.

I can't decide how I'll pose him, I want him to hold his helmet in one arm because that face sculpt is beautiful, but I can't decide whether to have him holding the whip, or shuriken in the other.

Edit: I just saw Mudshark's post and had to say thanks about the tips. Unfortunately, I do live in New Mexico, where it is hot a lot of the year. When I get Wolf, I'll use something on him if those hoses start showing any sign of rust.

I also bought the 1:1 Wolf bio helmet to solve that problem!

I really like the idea of being able to get these figures close to the release of the movie, while the excitement is at its peak. Hopefully we won't end up waiting an extra month or two for our pre-orders to ship from ABC. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new package design for this set of figures, I'm sure it'll be outstanding. :monkey5

One of the most exciting things about Wolfie is all the accessories he comes with! I like the variation in weaponry, too. With all the options available you can just change his pose from time to time to suit your tastes. That's what I'm planning to do. I bet you'll get some good ideas after you've seen the movie!

Btw, I forgot to mention it, but gun oil would also be ideal for protecting the hoses, if you can get some. That would actually be my first choice. :D

The hoses arent really a big deal dude, ive had mine off Scar for a while before and it really didnt make much difference. I wouldnt let that deter you from buying him

You really can't falt Anderson or ADI for useing the same armor for all the predators because they needed to stay on buget, really it's foxs falt for not giving them the money to make diffrent armor sets for the predators.

Actually, it is Anderson's fault. He wanted to make the Preds 'big and tough' and all armored up in his hack of a movie, he even mentions it in the commentary.

Like i said, "cutting budget on the main characters is BS"

The preds were ENTIRELY his design just watch the making and youll see just how happy he was with them

You know who we really don't give enough attention to...

Chopper predator...this guy was cool, but unfortunately, the only attack he did in the movie was kicking whatshername across the room...

He had those massive arm blades that seem to be on every poorly researched predator toy...

I s'pose the Celtic one was alright too...

But they both died by the hand of the Grid Alien...either showing that Aliens are superior, or they just sucked...

Man, everything about Chopper made him look like a badass, BESIDES HIS HELMET.

Huge blades, big skull trophies on his back, and being over seven foot tall and buffed up... but it's like they said, "wait, how can we make this guy look sorta like the loser of the group... I KNOW! Let's give him a visor!"

They sucked, they were all basically "rookies". The only one with any talent was Scar.

Chopper had more talent than Paul W.S. Anderson.
