Re: 'BACK IN BLACK' Spider-Man Comiquette up NOW.

If there is enough supply to meet the demand of those who truly want something, no one loses. It is speculators that %$@ everything up.

Re: 'BACK IN BLACK' Spider-Man Comiquette up NOW.

They should be limited ENOUGH to maintain their retail value for 5-10 years or so...BLAH BLAH BLAH
Yes, I think everyone who wants one should be able to get one for retail. No, I'm not a Democrat. I'm a progressive. I'm an idealist...BLAH BLAH BLAH
Why should they be limited? Are you saying that people would not be willing to spend $500 on a statue if wasn't going to appreciate in value? Sounds like your opinion is people really wouldn't want the statue for what it is, just to keep... BLAH BLAH BLAH... to be able to look at for the rest of my life. If it drops to $100 in value, I don't care because I like it and I am keeping it because I like it for what is.

Are you SERIOUSLY starting this crap up again? Seriously? :banghead

Dude, SERIOUSLY, start your own post about the evils of flipping, low ES, and capitalism in general and put a poll in that thread on how many people would prefer a low ES or high ES and debate it there. Better yet, go to Oz and start your own toy company. I am tired of seeing your anti-flipping crusades on multiple threads.

Here is the perfect logo for your new toy company:

Iron Man is my type of hero; He has alot of money, buys really nice stuff, and sells his technology for outrageous prices; well before Secret Invastion he did. Screw the few, poor super heroes that have silly ideologies about economic inequity. I think Spiderman should mass produce his webshooters so everyone can swing around the city and Dr. Strange should

Actually I didn't start it. jbinny did. I was talking to Nash about how flippers are the major cause of ordering and canceling, and NOT mamas boys-(whatever) and included one statement about how people who flip egregiously take advantage of others, and then jbinny stats arguing with me about the concept of flipping again.

Tony Stark made products that didn't exist before, thus contributing something new to the world, and thus he is entitled to charge as much as he wants for what he makes, just like an artist can charge whatever they want for their art, because the creative process is priceless.

I notice I still haven't gotten an answer as to why flippers are NOT the major cause of ordering and canceling.

Nearly every piece that I've flipped was bought off of ebay, inspected and resold. All three Thors that I flipped were bought with the live discount, resulting in prices less than retail. So your argument is flawed from the start.
I flipped 3, sold one for a minimal profit, and still have my sample/AP.

Go to China and live with all the gaymos that share your 'spread the wealth' socialist ideas.

Wanna go down that road? Flipping is an art, so STFU and talk to the people who get polyboners and order every exclusive that surfaces.

That does not prove that most of the people who order and cancel are not flippers. People who buy anything with the intent to flip never have any intention of keeping the things they buy, and thus they have no incentive or interest whatsoever to keep their orders if it looks like they can't make a profit, yes? They have the least desire of anyone who orders to keep their orders if the es goes too high. Is that not a reasonable assessment?
Flipping isn't really an art, because it can be done successfully without skill. Luck is enough. Making oil paintings is an art, because it ABSOLUTELY requires skill. You can't make great Oil paintings like the Mona Lisa with LUCK, ever.

Flipping isn't really an art, because it can be done successfully without skill. Luck is enough. Making oil paintings is an art, because it ABSOLUTELY requires skill. You can't make great Oil paintings like the Mona Lisa with LUCK, ever.

Mona Lisa = meh

Check out number 10 and tell me that isn't completely random. That's the most expensive example of luck I've ever seen.

Flipping > you
common sense > you
capitalism > you

Talk to SSC about high ESs. They determine that, not flippers... just look at the FB gems.

I think number 10 is nice. Number 1 is not. It's just paint slobber.

Re: 'BACK IN BLACK' Spider-Man Comiquette up NOW.

Enough already, this subject coming up in very thread and the nonsense that comes with it is most annoying.

If anyone wants to discuss economics, the buy/sell market/secondary market etc then by all means start a specific thread in the appropriate area.

We were talking about the nobility and the integrity of the character. The CHARACTER of characters is relevant, since they affect how likable that character is, which is the case even if that character is fictitious. To be consistent with YOUR argument, why would ANYONE like comic book characters for any reason? They aren't real people. Anyway, the Spider-man statue is great.
