My thinking is I can save a few bucks with other sellers, but return policies is what has kept me with Sideshow. If I ever need to return something, I've never had ANY trouble with Sideshow.

But if I do change my mind, I'll check out Razors. I've heard a lot of other members say good things about them as well.

I like to order through Sideshow directly.. Theyre good about returns and I get it the day after they ship so Its a short Journey for the stone handed couriers..

I also like to hoard reward points...

If I order through a e-tailer Razorsedgecollectibles is the way to go IMO..

Does anyone know what scale this is? Based on the specs, it seems like it may be a little under 1/4 scale.

Backstage Pass (or whatever that thing is called) is up for this piece. :lol Looks great!!

RE is a great online retailer...I get all my Bowen and CS Moore from Mr. Richards.

Agreed. I'm almost anticipating this one more so than the Iron Spider-Man version.

NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY:horror:horror:horror

well i can see both having a different draw.
the iron is more modern and the black is more classic with tie ins with his classic foes.

really i'm eagerly awaiting both myself:naughty

I said "almost." :lol

But honestly, Back in Black is really growing on me. And that base is AWESOME. Plus the Black suit is just so iconic. I love it. Nothing against the Iron Spider suit though. That's definitely the "show-boater" of the bunch. I'm just glad I have both on order! :rock

The three stuff that come out of spidey back. I dun really know what they are called. Can't be tentacles right?. Will just called it its three extra arms

Oh, OK. I believe the proper term is "mechanical spider arms." :lol I really don't know. It just sounds better.

The size is exactly like the iron spidey except it does not have the three spokes

Is there a reason for only three mechanical arms? That makes a total of 7 limbs. Last I checked Spider's had 8 limbs. So, either Tony Star is just kinda dumb...or Parker is packing an extra "limb" somewhere else :naughty

Guess that might explain why all the hot chicks fall for Parker! :monkey3

They are three mechanical spider-arms nicknamed Waldoes. They are to be used see around corners (via cameras in the tips) and to manipulate objects indirectly. They are supposed to be too delicate to use in combat according to Stark but he uses them to fight anyway. The number of arms wasn't meant to replicate a Spider but to give balance as he fights and goes through the city because it works similar to the statures of a tripod, its also rumored it was a bit of a play on the fact that during "The Other" storyline that Peter gained powers that were not related to spiders like "Stingers" and it was another thing to be "not like a spider"....The interesting thing is that the Iron Spider-Man suit still exists in the Marvel Universe as The Red Team of Scarlet Spiders with the suit replicated and being used in triplicate. If you notice the newer Iron Spider costuming has four arms in the back....

The balance reasoning makes very little sense. Ever try balancing a centrafuge with 3 test tubes? Ill save you the trouble and tell you it leads to 3 broken test tubes. Love pseodo science...hate nonsense haha.

You have to remember according to Comic Book canon, Spidey has amazing balance already but after The Other storyline what was found out is that after his "rebirth" his Spider-Sense could be fooled, Tony Stark even created a pulse that would vibrate out of the Extremis suit that would give red herrings to Spidey and completely divert his attention. With the Waldoes Spider-Man has complete 360 degree protection with the two upper arms scanning to the sides and below and the back arm looking above and behind all displaying the images to Spidey via the lenses in his mask. It was a secondary protection measure. So they served more purpose than just balancing when needed, they didn't have a frontal lens because he was aware of what was in front of him but when the clones took the suits as the Scarlet Spider team since they did not have a visible abilities other than was already portrayed the additional leg provided that other step of attention.

It should be noted that Spider-Man in this suit was often drawn with the fourth leg but the introduction was with only three and I believe in Civil War he only had three throughout that crossover but the busts that supported it at times had four.
