Never had Shiner, TBH. Maybe I'll pick some up for the weekend. :hi5: Which do you prefer?

Depending on where you live, I'm not sure which Shiner you have access to. I know the Bock is their most widely-distributed beer, so you can't go wrong with that one. I also like their Hefeweizen quite a bit. Their blonde is very smooth as well.

I'm a little biased for Shiner since I live about 90 miles from their brewery and remember hanging out there as a kid while my dad and grandfather hung out in the hospitality room.

They had Shiner Bock at the local bevmo. I'll pick up a sixer next time. Here's some beers I picked up for tonight.

Last night I drank the Southern Tier Choklat Stout I picked up a few weeks ago.

I will be buying this one again, it was awesome!

I've had the Trumer before. The only reason I know is because I recognize the lady in the red circle. I keep a bottle cap from each unique beer I try and I know I have one of those in my collection.

I'm going to be in Cape Cod for work next week and there are two liquor stores near the hotel I'm staying at. One of them is on the same street. I'm looking forward to picking up some of the locals and other beers I can't get in my area.

Cape Cod Beer is also just a few minutes away so I might go check out the brewery one night for some samples if I have time.

:lol

I got back from my trip to Cape Cod earlier today. I was surprised they didn't sell alcohol at grocery stores down there but there were a bunch of liquor stores within 10 minutes of my hotel. My plan was to buy a bunch of stouts that aren't available to me locally.

Tuesday night I went to Grain and Vine, which was easily the best store in the area. The selection was huge and I found my grail, New England Brewery Imperial Stout Trooper! It was the only bottle on the shelf. :yess:

They allow you to make your own 6-packs but I had a tough time putting one together because most of their stouts were in bombers. I ended up getting one bottle each of Mad River Steelhead Extra Stout, Wells Banana Bread (not a stout but I wanted to try one), Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout, Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout, Mayflower Winter Oatmeal Stout, and Lakefront Fuel Cafe.

Wednesday night I went to AJ Luke's and was not impressed with the selection. Nothing I hadn't seen before and barely any bombers. I couldn't leave empty handed though, so I got a bottle of Tröegs Java Head in a bomber and decided to get a 4-pack of the banana bread beer.

Thursday night I ended up going back to Grain and Vine. An employee asked me if I needed any help and I told him I was looking for stouts. He was trying to find me the Stout Trooper and I told him I actually purchased it the other night. He also recommended Dorothy Goodbody's Stout so I grabbed a bottle of that, as well as The Dogfather Imperial Stout. There were several others I wanted to try, but most of their bombers were $10-$15.

After Grain and Vine I decided to check out Cape Cod Package Store where I bought a bottle of Stone Russian Imperial Stout (2008) and Mayflower Imperial Stout.

I didn't get a chance to check out the Cape Cod Beer brewery so I was hoping I could buy a variety pack of their beers at one of the stores I went to. Their beer was only available in growlers though, so I didn't bother getting anything. I did have their Red beer on-tap at the hotel though and enjoyed it.
