Im not saying youre wrong...just that your example is wrong.
the mask that you have overlaid over the face looks too small to me...even compared to the movie one.
imagine where the chin would be.
compare to the shot from above, where the chin is exactly there.
and then look what you draw: a lot bigger helmet than it is on screenshot from above.
then look on helmet's cheek - where it should be, where i put it and where you did. you magnified it :) i checked it all before posting.
it's impossible to draw every line i mean, so hell with it :)

well, my example is far from accurate too, but i still think yours is too small overall. enlarge it about 5% maybe?

you do know that when the mask is seen on the predator in the movie, there is no predator face underneath?
there is a hole for the actors head:

this would obviously mean that the mask would look smaller/closer to the head(as shown in your movie caps)
this can be called a "fault" on the movies part...but still, i think your example is still a little on the small side even compared to the movie.

anyway, i think we should just agree to disagree because i dont want this conversation to distract from baloo's mask.

1) of course i know.
2) that's exactly what i'm saying! and showing by combined pictures as it would be if all these extraterrestrial things really existed and looked like they did in the movie.
so - no, the example is not too small. it's done as it's meant to be.

and yes i agree that it cannot be interesting anymore and won't answer anybody who comments this :)

you do know that i kind of agree with you about the fit of the mask, right?
i just think youve made it a bit too small.
as i said, enlarge it by about 5%(i think) and i think you will have about the correct size.
basically, i think my example was too big, and yours is too small, compared to the movie mask worn over the "no face" predator.

but yeah, lets forget about this silliness now, my friend. :)

*trying not to break the promise* i understand, just now added 5% and then 10% to mask size, looking another way but still no place inside :)
oh no i broke it.

Haha... Me too, my friend! I too... :lol
And I would like to make a general thanking because guys, you all really motivate me about what I give my best, your enthusiasm carries me since I began, and each of your words means a lot for me, you know, so...

Voila!... And for the trouble this morning I'm going to cast the first part of the silicone mold...
:D

Hey Timo! It's been a while since we chatted... :hi5:
The die is cast: I've just cast 250gr of silicone. :yess:
The clock is running: I have to wait 15 hours now... :impatient:
The most frustrating is that I won't be able to say if it's good before the end of the achievement of the mold (ie not before Saturday or Sunday)... :gah:

you could post here photos of the process to keep people from heartbreak of waiting :)

Right about that, buddy.
:hi5:

But there´s nothing too new, man.
We will at the latest once your gift arrived, OR when the time´s right to applaud you on a job well done.

Hi friends!
Well, I have a good and a less good news... :lecture

I start with the less good one:
Since I had not prepared enough silicone, I had to make a second one that I have not mixed properly... Result: the silicone has not well polymerized, so I wasted 250g of product, time and a little of my patience (but of this last one, I still have a lot :D). I had to order another jar of silicone because I will not have enough. I hope it will come quickly.

But the good news (as it's always better to be positive, right?) is that I will not make the same mistake 2 times (because I'll certainly find to do some other ones, hehe :lol).
Positive points:
- I am reassured about the quality of reproduction of details.
- I can better gauge the strength and flexibility of silicone now.
- I know what I should do to improve the manufacturing process of the mold.

2 days of lost... Great!
Okay, well I just have to begin again! :gah:
