I think what's listed there is the original, not the reissue. Hence the inflated price. They usually don't have PO's till after the overseas retailers.

Also, I wouldn't panic yet. Bandai is reissuing it because they know how high the demand is. They're not gonna give up money. Some of these international sellers are ridiculous. They put up a few, they sell out quickly, then they wait and list it again at an inflated price. They price gouge themselves like scalpers.

Take Nippon Yasan for example. They had it up last night at retail, then this morning relisted it at $362. People on other forums are complaining they ordered it at the $280 ish price, then it got cancelled, only to be relisted later at the higher price.

Honestly, i have been checking bbts back in january and never saw the bandai soul of chogokin up, only back in 2016 or 2017 so it must be recent, but i am not panicking yet, the price is way to high but bbts does market increase pricing, i can try to see if i can go to my local hobby shop and pre order it that way, also since its limited to 1 per person i am confident they will have another round later.

Another thing is that japan and asia gets their merchandise a month or two before the us so theirs might have a valid more of a reason to get it and the us preorders are not up yet or at least getting ready to.

When is all said and done, blue fin hasn’t put up the preorder from their site up yet and they are the ones who distribute it to the stores, so hopefully this won’t turn into a big deal. With preorders selling out.

Was it on amazon jp I looked and could not find it. It's strange how the usual us stores dont have it up but they have all the other gundam and soul of chogokin up for preorder. I wonder if they were not able to get orders for it. So basicly all the japanese stores sold out .

If they were never going to allocate any for distribution in the us why did they even bother to show it off at last weeks NY toy fair . Idiots the us is a huge market.

It’s on Amazon.jp but only through third parties. Amazon.jp has really scaled back on their preorders recently. Within the last year I’ve noticed a lot of stuff doesn’t go up for preorder through Amazon until very close to the street date. Judging by the preorder prices I’m seeing, this item has jumped up in price ¥10,000 since the first release which is crazy considering the first release wasn’t that long ago at all.

Yeah I hoping we can this through a us distributor. I am tired of staying up till 2 am and jumping through multiple Japanese dealers so I can get my macross figures . And now I got to do the same thing with soul of chogokin . Come on bandi you are one of the biggest toy companies in the world you come all the way here to show case the products in the us make it easy for to buy your stuff.

But there are tons of examples of them giving up money by not re-issuing items that go for scary amounts of money in the secondary market. Given that Bandai has tons of licenses and their production schedule is probably planned for at least the next one year, they probably have a set amount of resources to dedicate to any one product at one time. If you missed the first issue, this re-issue is probably the only time to get it again. Perhaps there'll be a version 2.0 in the future.

Yeah, what's the point of reissuing it if it's only gonna be available for a few hours? That's just plain stupid.

I've been checking on amazon japan and it's nothing but resellers. I didn't wait for a reissue to pay scalpers. I could have done that any time.

If it's not available for retail, then oh well, I'll just skip it again. Bandai doesn't get my money.

In that case we had no choice but to go to a japanese seller since they can never distribute macross items in the us but this thing they have nearly every chogokin toy sold in the us. So I am not sure why this is not up for preorder.
