Good point. Well its like my sales manager always told me way back when I had my very first sales job. "Someones eating your lunch" I think its fair comare this as Hot Toys to Medicom. There is no coming back.

Dude, just wait you can save $40 or so by buying with Joe. That's like half the price of another Sideshow figure. Or a new video game.

I don't consider that negative because we're talking about 2 competing companies making similar items based off the same exact license. I could see if this were like a sewing thread and you randomly came in here and said "Medicom sucks" yeah that could be considered negative. Then again, I probably wouldn't notice because I'd be too busy thinking to myself "WTF am I doing in a thread about sewing!?"

i really think medicom messed up on their tdk line (just the joker and batmen) by taking so long. HT's line has already saturated collectors and to tell you the truth, my tdk hype is almost gone and ive moved on to the IM releases. they should have kept better tabs on HT's release dates. it has more to do with their strategy than their actual products i think because the ppl who were iffy about which company to buy from have probably gone to HT's direction and the only ppl remaining are the medicom loyalists. i myself tend to buy from both companies and with the tdk hype i bought from the first company to release a joker and from there i became a HT's loyalist for movie figures

I don't care who makes what as long as it looks good in the end. If all goes well Medicom (imo) will have the best looking and most accurate 1/6 scale TDK Batman figure on the market. That being said, their Two-Face looks like garbage. HT has the best 1/6 scale TDK Joker on the market now with the BR Joker.. but the V.1 head sculpt looks like garbage. No company is infallable. They all have ups and downs. Being devoted to a single company just means you miss out on good stuff.. because I personally knew people back in the day for instance who refused to buy like the Sega Dreamcast because they were die hard Nintendo/Playstation fans. So those people missed out on all the great games Dreamcast had to offer while it was around. My point is..

Thats just the thing when you slip and fumble the ball there is going to be someone there to pick it up! (Michael Myers not included in this example ) Now i'm not saying that Medi ever had "The Ball" to begin with but still my God there is like NO competition "to" Medi other than HT's.

Uh, Devil 666...V1 Joker head sculpt looks far from being garbage..it looks great and far better then the Medicom joker even and DC Direct...do you own one? V1 joker has some very good paint apps as well...at least on mine.

I don't own one because it's garbage. Within the context of TDK and Heath Ledger. On it's own it's a great sculpt and a great + scary interpretation of The Joker. But again, that's NOT the context it's in, which should be obvious from the box art, promotion, etc. Even HT thinks it's garbage.. look at how they promoted the BR Joker: in the V.1 Joker outfit. If you like it, that's cool. We don't have to agree.
Right?

notice that in v1, they wrote "authentic likeness of the JOKER", but for BR, they wrote "The highly realistic head sculpture and painting of THE JOKER features with his cold stare, evil intent and his remarkable paints and scars." Not a single mention of Heath Ledger.

yongkykun, i got mine from studiosunny. He's doing the usual 'preorderers have to wait, while others can just come right in and buy straight away' which really REALLY annoys me, but seeing as i preordered the first day this was released, it should ship sometime next week......i hope anyway......i already had to remind him that.
It's strange with the main sculpt on this one, some of them look perfect, and some have overly messy mouth paint, like, it doesnt even follow the shape of his lower lip, it just goes right over it in some pics and looks......too messy

I like the color on the prototype more than the above one (the actual product). The color seems duller on the actual product. Especially the black around his eyes and the red on his lips.
