notice that in v1, they wrote "authentic likeness of the JOKER", but for BR, they wrote "The highly realistic head sculpture and painting of THE JOKER features with his cold stare, evil intent and his remarkable paints and scars." Not a single mention of Heath Ledger.

Where!?

It looks like The Joker. The character.

lmao.. ok if that's how you wanna rationalize it, fine. Whatever works for you. In reality though, the fact still remains: The V.1 Joker from Hot Toys WAS and still IS marketed as "THE DARK KNIGHT - JOKER".

What is "The Dark Knight"? Right. It's a movie.

Who plays the Joker in "The Dark Knight"? Right. Heath Ledger.

If HT simply put out a Joker figure with only the DC license (i.e. no movie license attached to it) then yes I'd agree with you. But that's not the case here. And it has nothing to do with likeness rights because HT obviously got it right the second time around with the BR Joker.

If you guys seriously feel the need to "defend" what you've purchased while turning a blind eye to the reality of the situation, that's fine. But those circumstances (obviously) hinder any type of real discussion, conversation. So that's where we're at.

Not a fan of this look (He copied JC Hong's repaint) but as far as skill goes that's an impressive repaint!!!

I can't remember: After the Joker shows up without make-up (no spoiler.. if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about) when he re-appears is the Joker make-up "fresh" again like the Mob Interogation scene?

makes him look like he ate one too many onions... the little guy's about to cry for crying out loud...

I had a wife, who tells me I worry too much. Who tells me I ought to smile more. Who gambles and gets in deep with the sharks.

One day, they carve her face. And we have no money for surgeries. She can't take it. I just want to see her smile again, hmm? I just want her to know that I don't care about the scars.

So... I stick a razor in my mouth and do this...

...to myself.

And you know what?

She can't stand the sight of me!

She leaves.

Now I see the funny side. Now I'm always smiling! :D

After the scene where the Joker isn't wearing makeup, the next scene with him is when he shoots the cop right before the chase scene and his make-up was "semi-fresh" if I remember correctly but.

LOL, and pay half or more of the price of the full figure. Best to buy the whole thing then part it out yourself.

It looks like the Joker in The Dark Knight. Mabey not Heath...but The Joker.

And WHO played The Joker in TDK? Right.

Does this look like The Joker in TDK?

It's cute how you're suddenly cool with buying a movie licensed product that's innaccurate when you're the same person who didn't like the 1:1 Wolf bust because the bottom mandibles weren't in the correct position according to YOU. How's being a hypocrite working out for you?

I think the hot toys joker is pretty sic, i think it looks like him too. I don't get while everyone here thinks it has to be an exact photo match heath ledger? So what? Seriously, so what? If you love him so damn much go make plaster mask from his face. Its a really cool figure, if seeing heath gives you such a turn on, stick to watching the dark knight.

All these photos make me want to do is part with more money to buy these figures but as a student it is a toss up between cool figure or eating to stay alive

Plus the cheapest i can get these in the uk is £119.99

I guess you're looking @ play.com. I use them a lot but on this occaision forbiddenplanet.co.uk are cheaper by a tenner- https://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=47383

But eBay is by far the quickest way, this one works out @ £91 based on todays exchange rate, but the shipping would bring it up to £116:-

I never noticed how long and nasty Joker's nails were until I saw this pic.:monkey4 You could almost use Sao's hands for a prison Joker figure.
