Yeah that was so awesome how he makes this amazingly dramatic entrance and then they immediately knock him on his *** with a couple rounds from a .22 pistol. ;)

...and immediately gets right back up. That is the point of the whole scene dude - It isn't about just stopping those crooks. It is about creating this creature of fear in their minds that can't be stopped... That he wants them to tell all their friends about.

Spreading the fear as a tool to stop crimes before they start. The legend of Batman.

I know, I don't know why I'm giving you guys such a hard time. Must be in one of those moods. :D

As far as Batman's first appearances go, I'm genuinely surprised that no one's mentioned BB. Granted, it's nowhere near the opening of the film, but it's friggin' awesome. The way he picks off the armed thugs and then takes down the rest in a flurry of movement before pulling Falcone through the sunroof and telling him that he's Batman. "Nice coat" makes it even better.:lol

:exactly::goodpost::exactly::goodpost: He could've made short work of them if he wanted to, but he chose to create the idea of Batman as being an unstoppable force. That being said, I wonder if he calculated what their reactions would be or if he was just praying real hard that one of them wouldn't shoot him in the face.:lol

Exactly! :duff

And that is why he wears that yellow target on his chest. :) That works especially well with the Burton suits. That yellow oval would be just about the only thing you could see of that black suit in the middle of the night...

Paying mine off in full next week...should be good times not worrying

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Easily, the rooftop sequence with the muggers from '89 is my favorite FA Batman scene... Heck, it is actually my favorite movie scene period.

The exchange between the 2 talking about "The Bat" as he slowly drops down in the background unbeknownst to them, the sound of the gravel crunching, the aerial view as the crooks look up... And then the absolutely perfectly composed scene of Batman as he spreads his cape out like the terrifying wings of a giant bat...

I get chills even thinking about it. Pure magic.

Sallah

Totally agree with this. It's just pure awesome all the way through.

There is no collectible greater than this Batmobile together with the 1/6 Keaton.

No BB, TDK, TDKR, BR, BF, B&R, Christopher Reeve, Raiders, SW, Terminator, Predator, Robocop, Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Cap, Hulk, X-Men, FF4, Wolverine, Avatar, MOS.

Everything else comes 2nd place.

Not true! I'll start the bidding at one measly cent! :lol

:D

That's actually not a bad idea now that I think about it.

Technically you'd be getting the Batmobile for $300 if you made that back, which would be ridiculous and a great deal.

I'm still trying to decide how I should approach old ED-209. I bet some of my Batmobile rewards points goes towards him.

See that's the thing. BD Mk VII *was* my ticket to ED-209. But ED ships a year from now. And that Keaton and his Batmobile really do represent a historic era of superhero films that I *do* have a certain affinity for believe it or not.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

The Batmobile will get you more points for ED, obviously, that's one of the things I'm looking forward to. The question is, which Batman do you pursue for the Batmobile?

That's why I'm sort of glad things like the Batmobile, ED-209 and Robocop take such a long time to ship. Plenty of time to rack up rewards points to knock those suckers down to size.

The deal breaker for me though is ED's dome. If that **** is rubber again, then I might pass. Still can't decide if I want to get Robocop with his chair or on his own.

What would really be cool is if they made Robo's Ford Taurus with working lights (and a reworked interior of course so he could actually sit inside). It'd be fantastic to have Batman and his car and Robocop with his. I love that film poster.

Meh, no Hot Toys, no care.

Meh, no Hot Toys, no care.

No 1989 batsuit no care. I saw one on a sotheby's auction from the BR for 69,000usd, makes me want to bust my *** at work to earn a 1989 Batmobile like the comedian Dunham.

I want to see that famous Batman fan who is a Senator collection.

Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

No HT 89 car, yo Batman collection is a fail.

89 HT car is the equivalent of a Grey Hulk PF in Batman collectibles.
