Re: Hot Toys Batman 1989: 1/6th scale Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

If this thing is shipping on the 16th, I really want to see in-hand pics. I want to see this beaut lit up.

On a side note, I have a couple of questions about Flexpay.
1.)can you Flex-Pay when this thing is "in-stock?"
2.)For the first payment, is the NRD separate, or the first payment, or a combination of both?

1) yes
2)The NRD is separate ( of course it goes toward the purchase)
Had mine on order and changed it to flexpay

You missed my flattering recap of Batman Returns yesterday. Starting in post #2825.

Batman Returns was my first batman movie that I can remember, since according to my parents they took me to the movie premiere of Batman in June 1989.

Anything tied to Batman Returns is just superb, Sega game, SNES game, Arcade game, the toys line, the returns batcave, not to mention my first theft in my toy history, Catwoman with spring action whip lash, jeez I loved that figured more than anything when I was a kid.

I wish I could type more but I have a test to take that's going to take me six hours... Can't wait for this batmobile either.

Thought I would share this photo. You can see the shield in the box.

Going to be a over the top plate as people have guessed it would be.

It looks segmented- see the rear of the car? Looks like partial plate attached? See the inside styrofoam? looks like forward/canopy plate section sitting there.

HT went all out- NOT just a once piece vacuform shell?

I think you are just seeing the vents at the rear of the car in that pic?

Could the bar serve as a resting point for the armor so as not to scuff the vehicle itself?

I'm glad those machine guns appear to pivot instead of being straight ahead and stationary.

Not too happy about that rod mechanism or the canopy though, even if it is "accurate". Hope it's removable.

To be really accurate, it would have to also be removable.

Please, please, tell me you're being facetious.

Back to the subject in discussion...I just can't wait for the Batmobile. Next items on the list to collect are: Neca E.t. Puppet replica, Transformers Allspark by Calibre, and, of course, Sideshow Exclusive Superman; not the Henry Cavill one I'll get that one later, though.
