It's amazing how much that little bag makes a difference. It sucks that so many people had to settle with those scratches or have no Batmobile at all.

It's amazing they waited until almost all of them had shipped out to finally add the bag. Congratulations for the 2% of people who will receive a nicely minted scratch-free Batmobile in a protective baggy.

Got the email from SS confirming $75 store credit for my scratched Bat Car....applied to the PO I have for the 1/4 scale TDKR figure. That lessens the sting on that thing a bit. :horror

What a relief! Got my replacement from Sideshow today and....it's another success story! Second time lucky for me with a perfect car without a mark on it and no gluey residue on the hole windows! This is what the car should've looked like first time round especially with the amount of money spent on this. It's a big relief that its now a perfect Batmobile! Definately looks like this is from a second batch of Batmobiles as I also recieved mine with a layer of foamy paper separating the car from the armoured shield. Here are some pics

As mentioned earlier, this replacement couldn't have come at a better time as I'm picking up my custom Batmobile base at the weekend which is being made for me by a good friend and well renowned collector and youtube reviewer...and I'll be posting pics of the base on my display thread in the next couple of days!

Congrats Roberto. Interesting, up to now people were reporting plastic bags but you got a foam sheet. Either way they seem to be working which is great thing and indicates that the damage was clearly caused in the transport process as everyone now seems to be getting good ones. I had been hesitant to order this will all the issues but I think I can now order worry free or at least as worry free as I would be with any collectable.

Congrats mate! Looks as minty fresh as mine.

Thanks Arctic, really happy that this second batch is proving to be a major success in terms of undamaged Batmobiles

Just pisses me off that they could have done this from the very beginning and we wouldn't be in this mess at all!

So frustrated for those who accepted the small credit/refund...if they had been issued out a replacement from this new batch then there would be a heck of a load more happy customers

HT didn't expect this to happen, I'm sure they never thought the foam under the shield would cause this problem, what sucks is how SS and HT are handling the returns/exchanges for people who got a damaged one.

I'm not sure what to say now...My Batmobile is lightly scratched but they are bearable. Maybe I should have ordered it later rather than early?
I feel for the fellow collectors who are now stuck with imperfect Batmobiles...

Do not make me angry...

seems as though BBTS is only doing store credits, anyone had any luck getting a refund instead of a credit? Though I can live with the scratches I do feel as if I'm getting boned a little over this since shipping was about 85 bucks so really the actual amount I'm getting isn't that much considering this could have all been avoided. Anyway looking forward to hearing what others have done.

Not sure where to buy it but I have a lot of stuff I order that comes with it. That's what I put under the shield. Works well.

Anybody know where you can buy foam like this? I want to cover the whole underside of the cocoon with this.

Save yourself some money.. buy a large roll of clear plastic food wrap.. like Saran-Warp or any type at the super market and lay a few sheets over the Batmobile.. it will keep the scratches off.

At least they are throwing up a decent amount in store credit. My buddy decided to take the $125 store credit despite receiving one with lighter scuffs than mine. I don't know what price point you bought it at but at the original $570 + shipping, it's a pretty solid deal.

Yeap, I layered a small saran wrap around the canopy area before putting it back into storage.
