So I checked with my local shop that I got mine from, whom has an account with sideshow, and they told him that they were not giving money back anymore on damaged ones and there were no more replacements....could this be true?

Sounds really unlikely. There shouldn't be a timed limit on refunds for damaged goods.

i was told by SS because I'm in australia that i would more then likely not be offered a replacement piece if it comes damaged, however i will be given a full refund and would have to destroy the damaged piece before the refund would be issued

Cannot be possible. They will get sued if they do that. If its damaged it must go back and they have to take it back.

Getting the gun cover panels to lay flat.

Learned a new trick today! If you want to get the machine gun cover panels to lay completely flat, insert the back of the panel first - pressing downward until it's flush - then use the magnet to lower the front of the panel down into place. I did this with both panels today and they don't stick up at one end or the other any longer, instead laying completely flush.

I did that same thing to the right panel the other day when it was sticking up a bit (at first I thought the machine gun was up to high). Then I went to take it back off today to mess with the machine guns and the magnet tool wasn't strong enough to lift it!

After that I just got another magnet for double the force, then it popped right up. But yeah, if you get it flush in the back, it sort of "snaps" into place. Which is a good thing I think.

One thing that does annoy me are the side panels for the shinbreakers. It can't get either side back off with the magnet tool now unless I pry them out with my bare hands (which I don't want to risk doing out of fear of scratching). Doesn't really bother me thought because I'm never going to use the shin breakers.

I thankfully don't have any trouble with the shin breaker panels; I do display it sometimes with one shinbreaker inserted (on the side facing the room), along with the bat disc launcher open and the browning machine guns raised

I also purchased and inserted some rechargeable lithium ion batteries and now the lights are super bright! Looks great.

My canopy sits flat, more so than on the Fumbler.

You just need to push it into place. It actually pops in completely.
