I don't like dust. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

:lol

[...]Can't find a case for it. What are you using?

[...]

I (finally) have an acrylic cover being made locally, up to now it's been set out of storage but has a sheet of bubble wrap loosely over top, with the armoured cover placed lightly over that. It's in a cool and dry location so I don't worry about the plastic melting to it or anything, not that I don't uncover it from time to time to check in a paranoid fashion. ;)

I got one of the later releases near as I can tell, not a mark on it and what looks like sufficient foam inside the cover, but I'd never use it as intended. See above re: paranoia.

It also sits on a sheet of glass so as to prevent any weird reactions with the gloss white surface of the cabinet it's on with the tires.

Can't wait to finally get the cover so I can display it as it should be.

Right?

:lol why did that just go over my head? Nothing usually goes over my head. My reflexes are usually too fast. Not that time tho :lol

I've never let mine get quite that bad but enough to see it become the Greymobile. Yeah getting the dust out of the vents and the indented lines is a pain, I usually just leave it, only doing the smooth surfaces and the windows.
This is the worst it got. I'm ashamed, but I look on the bright side that I own this bad boy lol
I rarely use cursing on these boards but, you abusive son of a *****.

Yup, I deserved that
I know you werent asking me, but I simply use the shields mode cover it came with as a dust cover.

That's what I did with the old toybiz one. But I'd rather have the batmobile displayed then the cocoon
:lol

Oh I see, cool you getting a custom case made. I had mine on display since the original release, it's not on the tires but on the quick 180 degree platform. Here is where I have it displayed, fortunately no sun shines on it.

Well darn. I didnt know you actually need a ladder to dust it.
Having it on that 180 degree platform and not on the wheels is a good idea. My rear wheels had some tread melt off due to some chemical reaction with the coffee table I was displaying it on.

Damm, that sucks to hear about your tires. Yeah I wanted it off the tires, I was afraid as years goes by it will have a flat spot.

*******! What the hell is wrong with you? :lol

I use a damp microfiber cloth and a spray bottle. Occasionally I?ll use a can of compressed air for the vents since it?s impossible to clean them with brushes.
:lol I win on the filthiest Batmobile.
I've tried compressed air but I assume I used it wrong since it was no more effective than me blowing on it with my own mouth. :dunno
Same here, but I didnt bother using compressed air.

I?m obsessed with dust because i hate it, gets everywhere, i?m also obsessed with anti dust tecno display cabinets but cost a fortune, best way to clean them is to use a semi wet rag OR non alcohol baby wipes, at which point get a glass cloth rag and wipe it down after wards, you can also soak qtips with baby wipe liquid to get into those hard to reach spots THEN finish off with air duster, if you do it before cleaning jt you are just soreading it everywhere in the house.

also clean your a/c vent ducts, change your a/c filter monthly, clean the top of your fan and any surface, move furniture around and get behind and underneath stuff more importantly the freaking window blinds give them a good wipe down.

seriously even with the fan on dust just flies everywhere...

Even when i did not have a box for the batmobile at one point, even with the shiel, dust somehow still got all over so i know how you feel, i?m just thorough cleaning toys, i hate seeing them with a layer of dust

Sad that my most valuable collectible I spent is not behind some sort of case. But I'm okay with it, it cleans up easy besides the vents that I just let it go. Sad I still have my tumbler boxed away, I have no space. I do have my bat pod in a case though :lol

don?t feel bad i have 42 boxes worth of toys all sealed up until the perfect time if it ever comes at this point i hardly doubt it ever will

Should try sora-shop.
I got an acrylic display case from them with piano black glass base & mirror backplate for a really reasonable price.
Keeps my batmobile perfect and looks awesome.
They custom make whatever size or preferences you want

Sora only ship in Europe.

Oh really?
Sucks for everyone else then. Suppose it makes up for us in Europe getting stung with ridiculous custom charges when buying from sideshow
I spent ages looking for a display case that wasn?t more than the batmobile until I found them.

there?s US makers here, i just haven?t researched it that much, i do know there?s acrylic case makers that could custom make one to your specs though

Cases for collectibles.com is a good place to get the acrylic cases from. I have several of them for my figures.
