Batman: Arkham City - Spoilers Allowed!!

Ok so i've been playing this game for a bit now and there is one thing that is aggravating and pissing me off!!!!

Navigation back through a level after you complete the mission ,

Example ,

Spoiler

Defeating Ras Al Gul and taking his blood , then i had to get back outta the underground city , back tracking and navigation back out

Every other game is when you complete a mission , then it usually spawns you at the spot before you started the mission .

hehe I like the game because of this. makes it feel more I dunno...real? dead set loving the game

So finally got my copy of Arkham City. Turns out it was all sent seperately. And arrived on different days. Very weird. Glad it wasn't stolen but still think its a silly way of doing things. And was still two days after release date. Won't be pre-ordering from hmv again.
So now I have an extra copy. Will try and return it as its unused but if anybody wants a copy of the standard version for retail let me know.

As for the game, finally got to play it and, as everyone else says, its awesome. Just feels like a huge expansion on the world of the first game. Really feels almost like a continuing story. I've barely touched the side missions etc but it just seems like there's so much going on. I've tried to avoid this thread now so I don't ruin anything, think I already read the ending though.
Currently looking for mr freeze. Can't wait for that.

only 10 minutes in,is it too late to download robin and catwoman and use them now or would i have start story mode again to use them from the start or are they just used to complete their own missions anyway? and how do i break open those riddler question marks boxes on the floors?

great game! reminds of GTA-goin round smashin heads up! dont suppose theres any batmobile/batwing missions? that would have topped it off for me!

Catwoman actually OPENS the game, so yeah, you would need to start over again to fully use her. Robin is challenge mode only, so it doesn't matter with him.

cheers buttmunch! ive just finished court scene when two face and catwoman first appear so no biggy starting again! i just know its gonna get taxing later and my patience isnt the greatest! thats why i usually stick to games with no aim or point to them! like COD and FIFA! uncharted part one was the last taxing game i tried and failed to complete! haha

They only thing you missed so far was Catwoman getting captured by Two-face.

Switched on for the first time this afternoon. I can see why some people saying game of the year so far, it really is fantastic.
Playing it in 3d aswell, the city scape really is quite special.

The image actually looks sharper and more detailed in 3D in my opinion. Loving it.

I downloaded catwoman after i played for a whole day, (forgot all about her), Select Catwoman from the main menu to play her missions! You then can continue your story. Then any other catwoman missions will continue during story mode.

Anyone else think this ended rather suddenly? I got to that last fight and then the credits rolled and I was like 'Wha?'

Still rad though. Playing thru new game + now with my TDKR skin, I have dubbed the default skin 'Big Gay Batman' and TDKR skin 'Big Old Batman'.

Been playing non-stop since this afternoon pretty much, amazing game! I initially wanted the collectors edition but was put off by the fact there is no actual game case with it and the lack of the Robin DLC. So I went with the standard game + the Robin DLC. Love using him for challenges! His fighting style is sweet!

The AC version of Robin is actually quite badass ... I particularly like the Red Robin skin. Robin's quicker than Batman, his combat seems a bit smoother ... but he is every bit as brutal. He uses a staff as a bludgeon.

In some ways, I think fighting with Robin is a bit easier than with Batman ... I seem to be able to get longer hit strings with Robin, and my only flawless freeflow was with Robin.

I literally just finished it and logged on here to see if anyone had mentioned this because I thought the same thing. I thought Nightwing was in it, where was the Mad Hatter? I saw his back after Catwoman saves you but is that it? Wasn't Killer Croc supposed to be in this again? Damn. Wasn't expecting a credit roll.
