I think Origins gets a lot of grief but I really enjoyed it, I loved the story and gameplay as well as the character designs. I know it was full of bugs for a lot of people but I never encountered a single one. I think it's a worthy addition to the Arkham series.

The boss fights in Origins were pretty awesome, Bane, Firefly, Deathstroke, Copperhead, they all had memorable fights, I just think Bane was a little over played in Origins, I think you fought him three times? Other than that the game doesn't get any complaints from me.

I liked Banes portrayal in Origins way better than in any of the other games, also Batmans suit design was the best imo

The story was poorly directed for as much hype as it received. I mean.... it was fun to play through until the final 10% or so.

I'm with the Arkham Origins camp.
I think it got overshadowed by the bad press of people having a glitch.

I did encounter a glitch early on that made it unplayable, its the part where you have to look for two things to pursue the Penguin.
But after that, I didnt have anymore issues, and I thought the story was great. The boss battles were hair pulling in new game plus, but still,
it was satisfying.
As far as story goes, its my favorite out of the three.

100% agreed! The idea of a bounty being put on Batmans head and the worlds greatest assassins coming to collect AND setting it on Christmas Eve, add to that the fact that it's still so early in Batmans career that the cops are after him as well......perfect!

Also, there's so many Cool batman moments in the game. Like when you see him standing in the clock tower, looking shadowy perched above it.
And the way he brutally beats up the bat guys.
"Now its time for you to take a nap...BAM"! Elbow to the face KO.
And the way he brutally beats the Crap out of the Joker in the end...I almost feel bad for the Joker, cause the game makes you punch him over and over and over and over...
And yeah, as you said, I love the Christmas settings.
I played the game again last month, and when I got to town and they were playing Christmas Music, I just stopped and let the music play, cause it kinda felt like it was Christmas again. It kinda reminded me of the Christmas setting in Batman Returns, and I love that its constantly snowing.

And some of the music sounds like it was made by Danny Elfman.

Agreed, AO came the closest in actually capturing the spirit of Bane's character from the comics. :lecture

Really loved the boss fights and how the story wrapped up too.

I think each game brings something to being Batman, AO included, each also has its weak spots but overall these are the best Superhero, and really some of the most fun Video games I've ever played. Oh and about the ending to AK,
you guys do realize they pretty much stole that idea from an episode of BTAS.

I apparently suck at "being the Batman" and keep failing training simulations. I want to continue with the story but want the points the training simulators give me, can I come back to them or do they disappear if I advance the story without completing them right away?

I'm not reading any previous posts, as I know I'm far behind on the main storyline so it's in my better interests to avoid them! But I thought I should come back and mention I've gotten A LOT better at the Batmobile now and really enjoy plowing around the city! I've actually mainly focused on the Riddler storyline, which I think has helped my Batmobile skills greatly. I have to stop with Riddler for now, since the rest take place on the third, unopened area, so back to the main story it is!

Overall, really loving it! Some fantastic references to the comics and such...it just happened for me in the main storyline (which should tell you roughly how far back I am :lol) but that flashback in the clock tower to the comics was great! That whole scenario was fantastic, constantly changing the scenery flawlessly around you!

Agreed I finished all the main riddler missions before I was close to being done with the main story and it helps getting used to what the car can do.

Yeah, I think I went too far in Arkham City with the main quest and it triggered the final battle before I was near done with Gotham...so I'm trying to clear out as many side quests as I can this time before going into the main quests whenever possible.

North Refrigeration...subtle Rocksteady! :lol

You know...I'm really hoping all the speculators are correct about all the Superman References in this game being a hint as to what's coming next. I'm so down to see what they could do with it.

Oh, I hadn't picked up on any aside from Metropolis being named. I laughed at North Refrigeration with the Penguin's delivery company because Nolan North voices Penguin.
