Re: Batman : Arkham 3 (2013)

Dammit. I was hoping more on a true open world game. Well, if it's double the size I will take that, Arkham City was a lot of the same.

Me too. I don't know if anybody liked Spiderman 2,but I loved the open city aspect of it. It would have a nergasm if we could have an open Gotham where we could stop random burglars and muggings while playing the main missions and stuff.

Do I like Spiderman 2?

YES

It's still the best free roaming Superhero game out. Sure it was repititve, but with the technology it was executed perfectly.

I've always wanted to drive around Gotham in the Batmobile, hop out and shoot the grapple gun to a roof, stalk people down below in a alley from the roof top :drool

Batman & Robin for PS1 was awful, but at least you had full reign of the Manor/Batcave and a decent sized Gotham you could drive around.

I'd agree with Asylum, but City's map was decent sized.

Yeah it was. They were all about having it a lively area over size, but a lot of AC was the same. I wouldn't want a giant sandbox, but I just want to drive around in the Batmobile.

Yup, one of the cooler scenes in Returns. Felt straight out of the animated series/comic book. Just a cool batman moment.

I would love to drive the 'bil as well.

So is it confirmed that joker won't be in this ?

I wouldn't think he wouldn't be in it, he's such a pillar of the series it would be silly not to include him.

Hamill will be back, he won't turn away a duffel bag of cash.

It's what I loved about AC was how Returns like it was.

Batman + Snow = Fangasm.

Re: Batman : Arkham 3 (2013)

There is a strong possibility this is a test. They give the franchise to another company but don't entirely bastardise the material thats come before it by making it a prequel.

Now if this is a success, they can have this dev do a proper sequel for less money and give Rocksteady the boot.
Looks like it, yeah. Too bad coz so far I'm not interested in this prequel.

Maybe HT should make this instead. :rolleyes2

Not too mention, I think he just loves playing the joker too much.

With the lousy projects he's been in the last what... 20 years? Why not just stick with what works and what people want.

His Joker is irreplaceable. Anything besides his voice coming out of the Joker is garbage. Sam goes for Kevin Conroy.

Any kid that grew up in the early 90s (like myself) grew up with the Animated Series and the Arkham series feels like a continuation of that, so ******* nostalgic.

True that, I'm a 90's kid as well. His joker is just perfect.

Not sure if these have been posted yet:

Not posted yet as far as I know. Both look good, I always liked the Arkham game interpretations of these characters.

Black Mask looks like a Mob Boss. I'm not too familiar with his character but it seems like he's the main villain this time around.

He's actually a pretty cool character, there's been hints of him in AA and AC, but I'm not sure if he ever really did show up.

His and Batman's past through their parents could be really interesting, since the two families hated each other.

That sounds cool. If I remember right you find his Mask as a Easter Egg in AC or I might be mixing that up with Scarecrow's. And he was stuck in DLC of AC.

I have more of a memory of the main heavy hitters of the Batman franchise, mostly from watching TAS.

Yeah, I don't even remember an episode of TAS with him in it now that I think about it..

He's basically a kid of some rich overbearing parents, who hate the Waynes. He ends up killing both his parents and takes their fortune and continues to run their company into the ground until Wayne enterprise buys it. He then gets struck by lightning and considers that some sort of sign, and carves a mask out of his father's casket.
