Yeah, I don't even remember an episode of TAS with him in it now that I think about it..

He's basically a kid of some rich overbearing parents, who hate the Waynes. He ends up killing both his parents and takes their fortune and continues to run their company into the ground until Wayne enterprise buys it. He then gets struck by lightning and considers that some sort of sign, and carves a mask out of his father's casket.

Jesus. The Batman saga never ceases to amaze with dark characters and tragedy.

Reading that makes me feel like I can invest into this now. Hopefully they pull it off.

Stay dark, cold, and snowing and we got a winner.

Yeah, that's why I'm interested in why the game is called "origins" clearly you gotta see some of Black Mask's origin. It's too cool not to show. With it taking place on one night, I'd assume there's gonna be some flashbacks. (Hopefully done right)

Wasn't any flashbacks as far as I remember in AA, but I really liked when Bruce sees the hallucination of his dead parents when he's dying before he finds Ra's.

That scene always conveyed to me he's still that same little boy he was when he seen them die. Definitely one of the more powerful scenes in games.

New look Batman wear riot cop gear.

Love the new suit. Has a classic yet fresh appeal. Elements of the TDK suit in the thighs, a bit of New 52 in the lack of underoos, a great solid angry cowl.

The gauntlets are a bit big. I'm sure there'll be some complaining that the suit looks more advanced than the AA/AC suits, despite it being a prequel.

I kinda am bothered with it, but I can certainly see by the utility belt alone it's more bulky and doesn't hide the gadgets like the AA and AC do.

I want to see him getting his *** kicked. I want stubble on the face. And since the Joker is alive out there at this point, I have no doubt Hamill will be back. I expect there to be a panel at SDCC this year.

One other thing: this game will be far bigger than AC and that was large. There will be a lot more locations and villains in them. The next few months will be amazing.

Also - new screens!

Thanks for posting that batfan08!

More images! More screenshots! and the map too! I'm so hyped for this game right now :D

Yeah, was a really great read! It's looking so, so good right now. Everything I read there has got me excited. Honestly, the only thing that could let this game down for me right now is the characters they choose to include. I really hope it's just Batman specific/familiar villains rather than some from the greater DCU that are more associated with other superheroes.

As for that offsite building, Wayne Manor does seem a likey candidate. Especially since we know Arkham is on an island North/East of Amusement Mile. The only other location it could be that springs to my mind is Blackgate Prison. The handheld game being released is based in Blackgate so it's a possibility I suppose. But Wayne Manor seems more likely to me. With the Batwing being used for fast travel it would be awesome to be able to fly to and from the Batcave!

I really hope that's Wayne manor. I'd love to be able to explore the grounds, sit at the Batcomputer, etc.

He's actually a pretty cool character, there's been hints of him in AA and AC, but I'm not sure if he ever really did show up.

His and Batman's past through their parents could be really interesting, since the two families hated each other.

He did show up in AC. Right in the beginning, when Wayne gets thrown into Arkham, he's off to the right in a standoff with a few guards ...

He was also in the Robin DLC ...

Guess Grayson may make a Robin appearance this time around.

Ohhh I hope there's no Robin, his appearance in AC was bad enough. Though, his design was bad ***, it doesn't make him any less of a lamer character.

And that's really cool, you think after playing through the game 5 times, I would have caught that. :lol

Batman is suppose to be alone. Not have some 12 year old kid wearing green spandex fighting crime with him!

Now, if he's done right, yes he can be awesome. (I'd take a Batman Beyond type of storyline over him running with batman any day.)
