That's one thing about Nolan's Batman that I think could've been done better: his methods. We see his training, but we really don't get to see it in action. Take Ra's' philosophy on theatrics, for instance. I wouldn't have minded seeing Batman employ his cape as a tool in fights; using it to disorient enemies. Perhaps even using smoke to confuse them?

So you missed all the hand-to-hand fighting with the Ninjas, the cops, Bane, etc.? :lol

Sounds great, I hate what Nolan did to batman movies especially the last piece of crap he released this summer.

Postwhoring? :dunno

No, the hand-to-hand stuff was great. I just think that they could've showcased some of the other skills he picked up from the League of Shadows a bit more.

You mean like the attacking from the shadows stuff and the disappearing into thin air stuff he also did throughout all 3 films? :lol

Thought his hand to hand combat was well done. Especially in TDK. Batman would disable his opponent as quick as possible. He isn't going to stand there and do some fancy kung fu unless required.

The SWAT dismantling in TDK and the Bane fights in TDKR were the highlights in terms of hand to hand combat for me

I know BB was shown from the criminals perspective so it was purposely disorientating but that's an aspect of BB I think could have definitely been improved

Pretty lame looking fights in TDKR.
Slow, technically stupid and blah looking.

Even tho that the camera work in BB was crap fights were good.

"What's the point of all those pushups if you can't even lift a bloody log?"

"What's the point of all that training and the new, more flexible batsuit if all you do is throw elbows?"

Lol. Seriously. Lame fights?

Technically stupid and blah looking? its not meant to be showmanship, it was about quickly taking down asmany people as efficiently and quick as possible. The first Bane fight was perfect. It showed the different aspects of Combat which Batman uses; aggressive powerful swipes designed to inflict immediate disorientation/disarm/knock out. Against normal foes, untrained, uninitiated its devestating. but against bane it was pointless, thats the point of it.

The fight, choreography and everything was perfect. The 2nd fight had alot to be desired for IMO and shouldve been much longer. But the fight alongside Catwoman on the roof and the fight when saving Blake was the same as in TDK; fast, efficient, precise.

Where do you think Arkham Asylum got the freeflow combat from? Aside from the more fantasy style jumping in the air and the super-athleticism, the effectiveness of taking down and the fight style are quite similar.

If you want showmanship, go watch some other prancing superhero with quips and dramatic slow motion flips and stare at the camera for 5 seconds before moving again.

Saying "perfect" 100 times in one post not helping in taking the point seriously.

If you want showmanship...
And you don't? TDKR tried to give it to ya but failed even there.

I'll wait for "Man of Steel".

Not much else is needed to stop someone cold than a elbow to the face. :lecture

100 times? take 98 away and you got what I put; twice. Muppet

Bane gave showmanship in that he dramatised 'ras al ghuls destiny!'and in his speech, but never gave showmanship in his fighting. he didnt do flashy moves, he hit batman with precision in the points he wanted to. Batmans fighting in the trilogy was never about showmanship. It has no showmanship to it.

Showmanship is what **** is famous for, but when he became Batman he toned it down.
