Came across this artwork at SHH. Looks pretty cool and sort of what I hope to see next.

^^^ Artist has great skills, but cowl reminds me of:

I like the cowl. Its quite modern. There was always something I loved about this costume from Gotham Knights. Not conventional by any means at all but its just, different;

Infact, the cowls quite similar to it with the chin piece

Looks better than the TDKR suit at least. But still just a tad overdone. Make the base suit a dark gray instead of black and lose all the busy lines on the cowl and I'll take it.

I do actually like the idea of white light-up eyes (ala the TDK sonar lenses). Makes it more like the Batman we love from the comics & animated shows and also makes sense from a safety and identity protection standpoint.

No light up eyes. Just white contact lenses like in Batman Dead End. Not the best photo but you can get the idea:

But here is the movie too:

Also I agree with many of you guys here. I want to see a Comicbook like reboot in Arkham City style. That would be just perfect.

Calling BS on that. :lol Not only do they not need a team film to guarantee the Batman reboot is a hit, but they'll literally cripple any momentum MoS provides for JLA with a year and a half gap between.

I was thinking the other night about what I want the next Batman to be like, and this is what I came up with:

A supernatural force. I want to see a Batman where the audience questions whether there is a man under the mask. For example, his eyes. I don't want to see his pupils, nor do I want white contacts or lights. I want him to have glowing red eyes.

I want a Batman who drops a smoke pellet into a group of thugs, and whose silhouette proceeds to dispatch every one of them in a flurry of rapid, efficient motions. We see the shadow of the bat; its glowing red eyes piercing through the veil of smoke. More to the point, I want Batman to be the shark from JAWS; an entity shrouded in mystery.

Another thing I'd like to see is a first-person sequence from a thug's POV. Just imagine it: you can hear his panting as he's running through the dark alleyways. Watch his fists move as you would your own, if it were you that were running. Finally, you see a wall in front of you. The wall is pitch black; two glowing red eyes emanating from it. The screen goes black as you hear the thug's shrill screams.

I love the red eyes. They're much more atmospheric, in my opinion. Just think about it this way: You're a lone criminal trapped in a dark alley. What's more intimidating? A.) A giant Bat with baby blue eyes that show you that he's a man under there, B). A giant Bat with white eyes that make him look like he's having some sort of seizure, or C.) A giant Bat with glowing red eyes?

No thanks. :wave Batman's appeal is that he can be the everyman. He's the only human among super-powered beings. What you described is more in line with what Bay's doing to TMNT. :monkey4
