I think the costume in batman dead end looked great and worked brilliantly for that short film but I wouldn't wanna see something like that in a new feature. But I agree something like the Arkham games or just based around the new 52 design would be cool. Preferably grey and black to just change things up a little but still keeping that dark tone.

I wanna see a comic book style cowl!

there is a unconfirmed sequel /spinoff in the works from TDKR, could be a new justice league,
synopisis, after the nuclear blast in the Ocean at the end of TDKR , Aquaman rises from Atlantis to take revenge on the humans, its uptp the world heroes to come to save the mankind

So Atlantis is near the coast of Gotham City?

I hope JGL Batman beats up Aquaman real good.

I hope Aquaman kills JGL with a radioactive fish.

I think the problem with the cowl now is that, after having the dark knight cowl where he can move his head, they kind of have to find a way to do that with the next costumes. I don't think they can just go back to not having batman be able to turn his head again.

Then make it an earlier period piece...the old comic cowl would be awesome and fit in with earlier time film...IMHO

Not sure why you guys are thinking it's so hard to do.

Also, the Dead End cowl is ugly as hell.

Not necessarily.

Brand new film & take on the character - if they're rebooting it, Wayne will possibly encounter similar teething problems with his arsenal along the way.

That aside - it's the 21st century, they can design a great looking cowl with plenty of movement.

Just avoid thick dense rubber this time. :huh :lol

Any Batman movie from now on will suck compared to TDK, we all know it. God help the poor guy who plays The Joker next.

Hardly. :lol

It's all about being faithful to the source - & casting well.

Endless possibilities. :)

It's definitely not all about being faithful to the source. What works best is when they change a lot to make it more film friendly (and less stupid) but keep the essence of the source material, which IMO is what TDK trilogy did with the best Batman graphic novels. Where do they go now? a dark fantasy off-the-wall Batman like Burton's, extreme camp crap like BF and B&R, or just try to carry on Nolan's epic gritty realistic Batman world? Either way, it won't match up to the masterpiece that is TDK. I hope i'm wrong, but this Justice League film sounds ******* awful and is a bad sign for the future of Batman after such a great trilogy. Man of Steel looks great though.

So you are seriously think that a comic book Batman for example can't be better than the Dark Knight?:rotfl Under the Red Hood and the Dark Knight Returns are already much better than Nolan's Batman (And I am talking about here only the adaptations, not the source material.), not to mention the Killing Joke, Long Halloween, Batman Hush, Knightfall.. and I can go on and on. By the way I know the Arkham series are only games but they are better too. Just get Paul Dini to write the next one!

So you are saying the comicbook Batman is stupid? Well I don't have more question for you! You just have no idea what you are talking about. In the comics there are 10 times better stories (stupid stories as you call it.) than Nolan's Batman combine.

What works best.. is when you have the right team who want to make a great film that stays true, yet draws (hopefully) a mixed audience. In that sense - yes, Nolan's films definitely are examples of that. However, while an excellent retelling & series - it's not the be all.. it's one interpretation.

What would be absolutely dumb, would be to try & make Nolan clone films - or copy them in some way, as if doing anything else would be cinematic suicide. The character has evolved continuously for over 70 years & is STILL going strong.

With the right team, the next Batman series could most definitely be as good - if not better, than the Nolan films.

I'm hoping for a drastic departure actually..

If someone were to say what HMC said, to my face... I'd pimp slap them with brass knuckles on.

I hate TDK.
