Wow! I like that! :)

1. Clark's strugle with his powers and "fitting in" - two very basic things when it comes to Superman's origin story
2. Him wondering around the country from jobs to jobs - that's what sets up the loneliness, not a reminder of him being different
3. That particular scene has nothing to do with his reasons of siding with humanity *otherwise it's just another poorly shoved Christ reference*

By this logic, I need to ignore your opinion from now on... :lol

1. Basic or not, doesn't mean they don't have to be told... so I fail to see the point you're trying to make, or how it refutes what I am saying: that that particular scene isn't there to set up Zod's tripping. I find it a bit silly (on the reviewer's part) to come to such a conclusion, basically out of nowhere.
2. Agreed, him wandering around the country does set up his loneliness, but not only that (it also shows his willingness to try and do good wherever he can while he searches for meaning in his own life) and it's also not the only scene to set up his loneliness.
3. Why not? I'm not saying it's the one scene that defines that moment, I'm saying it gives more meaning to his decision... After all, he had to go through seeing humans as horrible apparitions that rejected him, and had to slowly control himself and through self-sacrifice and believing in doing the right thing he finally overcomes all those barriers and becomes a champion for humanity.

But hey, you're ignoring my opinion anyway, so who cares... :wink1:

That reviewer was indeed very very shortsighted, the fact that he somehow got the idea that Batman was trying to restore the old corrupt status quo was a sign of things to come in that review....

But don't bother anymore man, this place will always have a few people biased against the movie, no matter how good your point is, they'll always contrive new ways to prove how the movie is objectively bad or intensively nitpick in way no other movie is, and that's their right, just laff at the memes yo!
