I hear you Riddick, I have a hard time watching it too. Was even asked to leave a forum because everyone else liked it and I didn't. But this looks to be pretty good and I hope the writing has improved from MOS.

Lol something like that. The moderator told me to stop starting trouble. But all I was saying was I didn't understand what was so appealing about the movie. I remember me and Irishjedi going back and forth about it. But he worked on the film.

Getting a real Star Trek: The Motion Picture vibe from this film.

Trailer seems to be nothing but glory shots. Hard to see how a compelling story will fall into place.

That shot of the flood circling all the families on top of their houses ......gorgeous...

That comment really does illustrate how different people see and judge things differently.
I saw that shot of the people on top of the roof and I thought, that is just ****ing idiotic, they are about to die and not only do they draw an 'S' on the roof but they paint it correctly with the right graphic flourishes and tails. To make sure it's a proper Hope logo. It's just dumb as hell, and it absolutely stinks of all the same ponderous nerdisms that Synder filled MOS with.
Likewise the red scrawled newspaper cutout that Affleck holds. It's so cheesy, with it's scrawly art directed red text. It's just so juvenile. :lol

One thing that did surprise me with the trailer was how poor some of the VFX were. Given that this film has taken longer to make than the Pyramids of Giza, I really thought every frame would look incredible.

Things are always perfect in movies though.

Remember how Gordon ended up making a perfectly designed bat logo for the Batsignal at the end of Batman Begins that matched the brand logo? :lol Who designed the Joker logo for all of the leather jackets on the Joker's thugs in Batman 1989? Why was the Riddler's riddles so perfectly intricate and well designed in Batman Forever? The Joker's graffiti and "ha ha has" looked professionally done like a graphic designer did them after making the perfect calligraphy font.

Who cares.

Depends how seriously the material takes itself I guess, I would excuse anything in Burton's Batman movies because they were hyper real, designed movies from top to bottom.

It stands out like a sore thumb when it's in a movie that strives to be ponderous and serious, realistic. But just comes across contrived in the wrong ways.

I cares. :lol

I think perhaps writing ''help'' in big letters might have sufficed. Superman understands english.

:lol :lol That's it exactly man. What nonsense.

Think about this Rory, Batman sat there and actually drew out this Bat OR worse, he hired a designer to make him a logo.

Gordon PERFECTLY replicated the Batman™ logo in Batman Begins™ Perfectly capturing Batman's brand despite ever seeing his symbol

Don't forget Superman's cellophane "S"!
