The Clown Prince of Crime
Super Freak
Actually anyone looking for help better keep their arms down by their sides. Arms in the air could be interpreted this way^

Yeah, I'm with Fabio here. You get that kind of thing all the time and it doesn't bug me. Of course, it does detract from the "realism," but when you're talking about guys dressing up like bats and super powered aliens in blue rubber leotards and red capes, that's not something I'm going to critique very hard. That comment really does illustrate how different people see and judge things differently.
I saw that shot of the people on top of the roof and I thought, that is just ****ing idiotic, they are about to die and not only do they draw an 'S' on the roof but they paint it correctly with the right graphic flourishes and tails. To make sure it's a proper Hope logo. It's just dumb as hell, and it absolutely stinks of all the same ponderous nerdisms that Synder filled MOS with.
Likewise the red scrawled newspaper cutout that Affleck holds. It's so cheesy, with it's scrawly art directed red text. It's just so juvenile.
One thing that did surprise me with the trailer was how poor some of the VFX were. Given that this film has taken longer to make than the Pyramids of Giza, I really thought every frame would look incredible.
LOL

Wait, how can Rory be wrong but a-dev be right, something is amiss here.
It's not about Batman having notepaper, it's not about daredevil leaving a flaming logo behind, it's not about Batman giving gordon the basting.
That's all good self promotion on their side. Market awareness is everything.
However, painting a pretty good version of quite a complex logo on a roof in the middle of a tornado is a different beast entirely.
P.S. Batman probably got those "100 cards and notepaper for $39.99 and get free envelopes" offers on tv.
Not really, check out this nice writing during Katrina.
That's prettier than my handwriting. I don't see what's so difficult about one letter inside a diamond shape
Hardly the same thing.
How about in dark knight rises when batman gives Gordon the flare and he drops it and it forms a perfect bat signal? I was like no way!
LOL
*Superman thought bubble*
They wrote my symbol out, but their arms are up like Pa's. Obviously, they simply want to teach me, like Pa did, that there is dignity in a death where I stand around idly instead of helping them. Thank you humans. I've learned a lot here today.
*Superman waves at the people, then flies off into space to further contemplate this lesson*
Some grumpy cats up in hurrr.
You're right. One letter inside a misshaped diamond is a lot easier and quicker than 21 pretty letters.
It's not about Batman having notepaper, it's not about daredevil leaving a flaming logo behind, it's not about Batman giving gordon the bat signal. or Reeve throwing out cellophane flyers of his logo.
That's all good self promotion on their side. Market awareness is everything.
However, a member of the (dying) public, painting a pretty good version of quite a complex logo on a rooftop in the middle of a tornado is a different beast entirely. Especially since Superman seems to be daydreaming while looking at the drowning folk.

I burnt mine with my knickers years ago.
Finally the fanboy goggles have cracked for some.
This thread deserves a better class of fanboy.
He was probably studying their work on the logo to see if it met his standards. Assuming it did so, then and only then would he save them.
One day I want to see a superhero film which actually gives full screen-time to the heroes going to this trouble
They kind of did that in The Crow. They show him making his logo, then we see the perfect Crow symbol on fire
