Yep, everyone loved it. But to be fair, that happens on almost every film I've ever worked. That includes a few that bombed.

For anyone saying they know for sure what the plot and villains are is just guessing really. I worked on the film and there's a lot I don't know. Even after seeing three different early cuts so far. Becuase they had multiple scripts on set, we shot multiple versions of almost every key scene, and all the digital effects are not even done yet. Films can change a lot from end of filming to theater start dates. Editing and voice overs and and CG can completly change it. So until Zach Snyder locks the film, which is usually done just a couple weeks before premier, it's still up in the air.

Yes some people like Zach and the stars and some DC and WB people will know but most won't. Not the way films are shot and handled anymore. Ten or fifteen years ago it was different. There wasn't this much access to info for your average person so the need to be so secretive wasn't like it is now.

Anyway..my two cents, based on what I saw on set and in early cuts and dailys and what not...it's got the potential to be a fantastic movie. I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite films to work on.

Thanks for that.
The multiple scripts and versions of scenes are misdirections or trying things?
Seems very weird to not have a locked script...
I understand that visually the movie can change a lot, angles, fx and whatnots but the story???

I agree, DS is a plot device, not a character, I think they can come up with a more effective way to kill Superman if that's what they want at some point, something like the end of All-Star Superman would be better, imo it was more meaningful, the whole Death of Superman was nothing but Marketing, so, if Doomsday turned out to be a throwaway "villain", I would not be upset at all.

But I still kinda preffer the other theory about
Bizarro

I kind of agree with you to me I really hope that they would do the whole death and return of superman because at the time it was actually introduced it was a brilliant story and the return was just as good were they had 4 different superman and you did not know which one was the real one. Prior to that nothing like that was ever attempted or at least did not have the impact that this had to the point it was making headlines and waves with mainstream and non comic book fans.

And I think it will have the same impact if they employ it in a clever way in the movie universe, because again nothing like this has been attempted yet and frankly they way that marvel plays it always safe is becoming very predictable, but considering both movies houses are setting up their next movies to be heroes vs heroes its only a matter of time before someone decided to use this plot device and I think DC can given the tone they work with can pull it offer better. On that note I dont see how we can go from familiy friendly marvel movies to the introduction of Thanos who is supposed to be the ultimate bad ass killer its strange unless they tone him down in the movie which is what I suspect they will do.

So I don't mind if DS is a through away character, because lets face it thats what he was in the comics just a tool to kill sups, as long an they do intend to eventually adapt the death and return of superman is some way.

Warner Bros. CEO Confirms Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice Screening | Comicbook.com

Warner Bros. has gotten shellacked at the 2015 box office, so far. CEO Kevin Tsujihara spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the studios struggles, which could have been offset by Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opening up on its original July 17, 2015 release date. Though, Tsujihara can already see the benefit of being patient with the cornerstone of the DC Cinematic Universe.

"It was a tough decision at the time because it was going to create a hole in 2015," Tsujihara told The Hollywood Reporter. "But it was absolutely the right decision for the franchise, for DC and the movie.Having seen the movie multiple times, and again last night, I’m extremely confident it was the right decision to make the movie better. And it’s so important for the studio to get the foundation right on DC."

His comments are important because they confirm that the film has been screened, which was first reported by Den of Geek earlier this month. If you remember, they said WB executives partook in the screening and were so impressed by it that they gave it a "standing ovation."

If this films sucks, Kevin Tsujihara will commit seppuku right in the middle of the WB lobby, while Nolan watches.

It's not the script that gets locked. It's the film. It's an industry term used to describe when the film is 100% complete. It's pretty standard for a film to be tinkered with and refined and not complete till that 2 week before window I mentioned. That includes doing all the CG and editing and sound. A movie is mastered after its cut together and the CG is done, for sound.

Yes most of the multiple scene stuff was just so no one could leak stuff becuase there's no way to know what's the real deal. Misdirect as you said.

As for your comment about the script..I've never worked on a movie where the script was "locked". It's a guideline but it changes as the film shoots. Every time. Rewrites happen every day. It's not usually major stuff. But sometimes it is. And then after all the shooting is done the editing usually changes the film a far bit. The average tent pole shoots 5 days a week, 12 hrs a day, 4 months long. And often with multiple teams shooting at the same time. Some is just different angles/views on a single scene. Some is multiple takes. But a fair amount is just normal content. It end ups being hundreds of hours that have to be cut from a film for whatever reason.

Thanks.
I knew the term locked was linked to the movie itself just used it for the script too coz it sounded cool ^^
First time ive heard about stuff like this it was with 2001, when after the premiere Kubrick cut several scenes for the theatrical release.
A movie is constently evolving, ive heard a director says that you basically do 3 movies, at script, at the shoot and at the edit.
Thanks again :)

We know Shannon is in the flick as a corpse, but now he says he's acting on set... and he doesnt know what he will be.
Reminds me of some stuff he said about the armor for Man of Steel, while he was shooting in green suit he hoped that Snyder would make him look good after feeling ridiculous on set but had no idea.
If he end up being Daredevil, i kinda like the continuity.

oh and huge spoiler ^^ that explain some stuff from the trailer

Reread the leaked script,
Its clear that its very close to what we will see.
One thing that validate it is the congress scene, in the trailer you can see Lois with the mob in front of the building when Supes arrives, thene there is another shot later of of Lois and the people around her reacting to something like an explosion...
But the leak doesnt talk about SUpes mom being kidnnaped nor Bruce's nightmare about tyrant Superman...
