Cinematic Batman was in desperate need of a fighting style upgrade, videogames were already doing it.

Russo's will be pleased.

This movie will have the effect of making TDKR Batman be as laughable as B&R Batman.

Wait, he already is. :lol

The trailer and these posters are what they should have done (and stopped at) around the holidays. I dig these over those bland white background Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman posters.

Thank goodness they've finally released some decent promo images, it's been a while. Those 3 your talking about we're horrendous, as well as those god awful magazine covers.
But still the posters make no sense, batman squaring off without a suit or kryptonite?..

The need to get Snyders DP to make these images, his are practically the only good ones they've released.

This Batman does appear to have taken the Super Soldier Serum. All the cool heroes are doing it.

It did remind me a bit of Snyder's Comedian in Watchmen. In the comic, he was just a normal guy. Well trained of course, but no super powers at all. In fact, the whole premise behind Watchmen--the chief factor motivating the story's plot--was that there was only one real super powered character in that story. But for Snyder, he thought it would be cooler to have Comedian punch through a brick wall during his encounter with Ozymandias. This Batman feels like that--Snyder taking liberties. It actually bothers me less with Batman than with the Comedian, again, because that was so counter to the whole point of the Watchmen story.

It's ok, Deadpool's power is healing yet he can spring out of a vehicle's sunroof with great momentum sideways while spinning and shooting his gun right on target. :lol

Well said that man.

Again, I think this is fine in 99% of comic movies. If all the non-powered heroes (in terms of their agility/endurance/strength/speed) behaved like Hawkeye does in the MCU in fights, they would be pretty boring. Instead, usually, we get what we see from Daredevil in the TV show, Batroc, Black Widow, Wolverine, and Batman here. It's sort of like a Bruce Lee fight. Of course, they aren't fully realistic. But it can work in the logic of the film/story. Watchmen was an exception, or at least should have been IMO.

Does he have a constant adrenaline boost without any unpleasant after-effects or something? Adrenaline might allow him to exceed normal human performance and his healing abilities nullify any physical damage he would otherwise be doing to himself. Just throwing something out there.

I understand where JYE is coming from, though. For example, Doof Warrior didn't exceed his abilities. And in part because of that, he has become a beloved, worldwide icon.

My biggest issue with Watchmen was the alley fight when Night Owl & Silk Spectre are throwing people around like ragdoll when they are supposed to be the "normal" heroes. But as you say its a Snyderism and in the big picture they still didn't compare with power level of Manhattan, just as Batman will still be clearly weaker than that other guy.

According to Marvel, DeadPool has enhanced physical capabilities so all in tune of character. That said a good call out on Bats fighting sequence being inline with the Comedian. It looked good in Watchman, it should translate well to Bats.

WTF does Marvel know.

Give me some of that Duff! image.jpg

That scene is mostly stupid. It's cool when Batman first shows up and beats the **** out of them, but when he ducks so that the clowns hit each other with those sticks and then the whole handheld-batarang-caught-by-a-dog thing, it just comes off as lame.

That snippet of Batman in the trailer smashing up through the floor and ****ing everyone up is the best we've seen of Batman in action by far.

All of that stuff just makes it more awesome to me. :dunno

Nowadays the poodle is a CGI tornado and the batarang is a CGI Kevin Costner. And it's DEADLY serious. Frowney frown frown.
