The trailer and these posters are what they should have done (and stopped at) around the holidays. I dig these over those bland white background Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman posters.

Agreed, though I did like the teaser posters with each character's symbol messily stamped on to the other guy's face. Those posters above pretty much match the Civil War promos but on some level that's pretty unavoidable. It's too bad they both had to come out so close to each other.

Looking at the posters above though I think they should have had Batman with the fierce look and Superman more calm. Batman IS supposed to be the "bad" guy in their little duel right?

Rian Johnson can do dark, character-driven stuff very, very well too, though.
Agreed. Brick and Looper were both very solid movies. And both were dark.

I thought JW was exciting as hell. . .He's a heck of a crowd pleasing director.
Well. . .all I can say is that, I'm happy for you getting this guy to do a Star Wars movie, Khev. Personally, I'm dreading what he comes up with. Jurassic World failed on nearly every level for me, but obviously I'm not the only audience for Star Wars. There is an interesting logic to having three very different directors handle the three films in the series. And the original films did all have pretty different vibes, for what it's worth.

Maybe Trevorrow will just be a stooge for Spielberg, something along the line of Tobe Hooper in Poltergeist, but that may be some pretty wishful thinking :lol But I would be just about as excited if they said Brett Ratner were helming it as this guy.

You and me both. A dog with a note in its mouth could have directed JURASSIC WORLD.
Award for best imagery in a forum post goes to IrishJedi :lol

(you should like JAWS though, if you don;t you are a dolt ;) )
No argument from me there. Jaws is about as close as you get to a "perfect" movie.

Uh. . .Batman may want to rethink this strategy of running headlong into a fist fight with Supes, sans armor or anything else :lol

You're just still bitter that the excitement of the Mososaurus saving the day caused some grunting neanderthal to leap out of his seat and knock your monocle into your grey poupon. :D

Especially when Supes is really, really mad. Because when he destroyed that one guy's livelihood for pouring some water on him he was only kinda mad.

The funniest thing about it was that I watched it on DVD at home. Not sure how that guy got into my house to begin with.

Brick is one of the most underappreciated movies I've ever seen. Great film.

I was thinking the same thing. Unless Batman has kryptonite hidden in his hand that's a one sided fight for sure.

/\I didn't think people spoke sentences like this outside of Hollywood publicists and Cohen Bros. movies.

So I expect that Episode IX might have a "holy ****" moment or two....

Yeah . . . like "holy sheet, this formula was played out 35 years ago." :pow

Narrow minded Disney only sees $$$

:exactly:

So if I want to comment on BvS, do I post in the Farce Awakens thread? :lol

I try to stay away from stuff like this (forums directly related to a batman movie) as I am such a huge batman fan. All hype, trailers, and reviews are pretty much obsolete to me, as I will most likely enjoy It anyway. People from college know me as the batman guy and I'm always thinking "don't even ask me because you don't want to go down that rabbit hole" But I gotta say this is looking like a fun flick with some distinct visual flair. especially those batman scenes ! I'm loving the batman/Alfred dialogue

I am so tired of all of this talk and speculation and trailers about this movie. In a little more than a month everything will be settled.

Batman V Superman: Could DCs Entire Slate Be in Jeopardy? | Fandemonium

So according to this guy on Hit Fix, WB is worried about the response the film is getting from the early screenings, and there's a chance they'll move LJ back and it won't be directed by Snyder and instead make a Batffleck movie, since he's the best part of the film. WB seems to be all in with Suicide Squad. Hit Fix is a credible source according to Collider. Not good :lol Hopefully people like it.

It's on the internet, so it must be true!

And looks like movie Supes stops Bats from saying his famous line....

Good news. Very good news, actually.
