I love the bit about "tonal missteps." Just goes to show that studios shouldn't give a **** what people want, because people don't know what they ****ing want. "DC is too dark," "DC is too edgy," "DC is supergrim and gritty," "Marvel knows how to have fun, unlike DC;" DC responds with "look! See? We can do levity," and people go "this ****ing sucks. Batman doesn't joke, Batman shouldn't joke."
Why does this movie keep getting such biased and unfounded bad buzz? Last week it was that McWiener ******* with the "WB is concerned, they might delay JL and fire Snyder" and every other site plugged that article as clickbait, only to be BTFO 2 days ago :lol this amount of heat by the "journalist" medium is pretty unusual.

Well, clearly there are some people (including within the media) who seemingly WANT the movie to fail, for whatever reasons.

Curious Irish, did Snyder have any say with the second trailer that spoiled a bit too much?
He had some input, but that one was actually the only one he didn't cut himself. I *think* that Doomsday reveal was from the WB Marketing team. The good news is that, despite that, there are still many neat moments and surprises that have not been spoiled. In fact, I'd say that both AVENGERS movies had trailers that spoiled more than this. You haven't seen all the "money shots" yet.

I'll murder! :thwak:stake:stake:gah:

For some reason I always remember what a pet peeve of yours it is that some people think that aliens showed up at the end of AI so of course I can't help but bring it up every few years. :lol

One thing that I do like about the current calendar of all of these Marvel/DC releases is that they can possibly act as nice palette cleansers for each other. I'm serious, and mean that in a good way. After BvS we'll probably be ready for some Russo Bros Marvel. After that, Suicide Squad will be a nice change of pace, and so on...

I suppose. Having no WB/DC (or Sony or Fox) cbm's in 2015 did probably contribute to my feeling of MCU overload that I still haven't shaken.

Good.

Yeah I meant in just in the media, regular freaks here always have concerns, well founded or otherwise.

But coming from the media, that just seems like smear campaign, although it could just be McWeiner just being wrong all the time :lol

I might add "Fan4stic is good" "Fox is moving forward with the sequel" "Daredevil is bad" :lol

I think there's a huge cyber war against WB and BvS...
Seriously. It's just ridiculous how much unfounded criticism has been levelled against this movie, and to a minor degree MoS.

I like that last one a lot! Although, what's with the Joker emblem on the gun?

Jokes are great. Just not stupid, unfunny jokes. . .Batman could do this sort of thing:

He's the straight man, obviously.

I would love stuff like that! They don't have to go full blown "This Little Piggy" from Justice League Unlimited (although, I love that episode), but prefer some comedy involved when it comes to Batman. I'm curious if they'll bring in Robin and how they'll use him for a catalyst for the humor. Heck, I'm just curious what Robin they'll use.

Great question!

Has Jye ever been sober when posting? :monkey3 :wave @ Jye

Proud to be a functioning alcoholic. :rock

Now, where did I place my bottle of JWBlue! :lol

Cool, that's good to hear about the money shots. :rock

Wait, those weren't Aliens?

Wow what a loser! :lol

The aliens is the only part of AI that I actually liked. It tied so well into Close Encounters and ET, you know? Well, I also enjoyed the Ministry cameo obviously.

Remind ´s me i gotta go to the Kubrick archives and get the original Kubrick treatment for AI he wrote with ian Watson.
The few pages ive read were really awesome.
