Well, it's quite a coincidence, I must say. . .particularly given Snyder's obvious reaction against criticism levied toward Superman Returns in Man of Steel, WB's obvious reaction against the MCU's success by forcing a team movie and integrated universe together, WB's obvious reaction against Green Lantern's flop by going all "dark and gritty," etc.

I expect the fight to end like this in the director's cut

Well, Snyder and friends do love their mature, violent, and "realistic" comic books. The Authority epitomizes that approach, and its version of Batman and Superman are lovers.

R rated Batman vs Superman? I’m excited :lol

I’ve noticed a lot of people have been getting upset now and already hating on the possibility of Deadpool’s success leading to more adult R rated films. I say screw them, I’ll take all my superhero movies with a R rating.

I'm currently arguing with my friend who is insisting that this is a calculated move on WB's part to capitalize on Deadpool's buzz.:lol

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Both cuts were submitted to the MPAA *weeks* before DEADPOOL was even released. And no one new for sure what the Rating of the Extended Cut would even be until the MPAA decided.

But I'm sure people really are stupid enough the believe it's reactionary. :lol

I guess we'll be seeing the Man of Steel spaceships return, then.

To venture where no (hope)man has ever gone before.

Eww. Reminds me of a supposed fan film I saw years ago where Batman got captured by some junkie, was held strung up pretty much like batfleck and was ***** and forced to do drugs. At the end Batman committed suicide because the junkie had some sob story about how Batman ruined his life somehow.

WHAT???

WHere??????????

IrishJedi, do you know if this film will be viewed to critics prior to release or will there be an embargo?

Could be a glimpse into WB's confidence for the film.

*To be fair, TFA had a critical embargo as well, and most people were very happy with it.

Some filmmaker was on the forum I used to be on a comics2film. He asked people of they were interested in seeing his film and me being big stupid Bat fan said yes. This was before YouTube I think. I had physical copy which I either destroyed or sent back to the person.

He had some input, but that one was actually the only one he didn't cut himself. I *think* that Doomsday reveal was from the WB Marketing team. The good news is that, despite that, there are still many neat moments and surprises that have not been spoiled. In fact, I'd say that both AVENGERS movies had trailers that spoiled more than this. You haven't seen all the "money shots" yet.

Thanks for answering. And kewl :rock
