'Murica-a-a-a!
It was horrifying when I watched it the first time over a decade ago because I didn't know what to expect. Watching it for the second time last night I laughed hysterically, but it's still pretty awful. It's better than Batman & Robin though. The ****? Sounds like some weird fan fiction.
Looks like a young Michael McDonald singing while doing cosplay.
Well, considering Avengers was on the verge of getting an R-Rating due to Coulson's death, I'm not expecting anything "grandiose" from it. Maybe a bit more blood, but that's it IMO. We'll see...
I'm guessing it was the scene where he got impaled and the amount of blood was considered excessive. There was probably more than we actually saw on screen, if it's actually true. What? I'm sorry, I don't buy that. There are plenty of deaths in PG-13 movies, what was so bad about his death scene that could have possibly came anywhere near to earning that movie an R rating? In my eyes, Avengers is barely PG-13.
Jokes aside, if it's fine for The Animated Series then it should be fine for a live action film.Don't people want to see Batman literally knock bad guys' teeth out?
I do. MPAA was f'd up waaay before I've started to collect figures. What? I'm sorry, I don't buy that.

There are lots of comic stories that make sense with an R rating to me. Deadpool, Punisher, Watchmen, Miracleman, lots of stuff from Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, or Warren Ellis would fit there. Some Wolverine stories, some of the Ultimates stuff, etc.So there will be some token brutality thrown into the cartoon mix. He did it in Watchmen as well but at least that was pretending to be an intellectual property. Making this R is clutching at straws IMO. There is absolutely no need to make an R rated superhero movie, unless that's what it's selling itself is from the get go. For christ sake just make a good damn movie and stop with all the marketing ********.
Michael McDonald is the ****. His work with Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers is some of the best music to come out of the '70s.He's got a nice voice.
But under no circumstance should a Superman movie be rated R. That is dumb.
