It's about balance. I just can't believe she has an ounce of strength with no muscle or girth. Caville's bowling ball muscle physique just enhances that disbelief for me.
But where's the balance? Again, if you look at the comics, Superman is always consistently buff while WW's physique can be buff or skinny regardless.

If you look at the Arkham games, Batman is the most jacked Batman ever, but all the henchmen are big guys, Bane is gigantic, Croc is enormous, and Solomon Grundy looks like he'd eat Doomsday for lunch. They all fit together aesthetically in the same world. If Gadot is going to do anything that looks like it requires super strength I'm not going to believe it because her body type doesn't fit the standard that they've established.
And how is Catwoman? Female to Male body size doesn't have to be directly proportional.

And the argument that WW can't have super-strength because she's skinny is just not good. Her strength isn't based on muscle mass, super strength never is, but if it is, is to a ratio much larger than that of a normal human being, size has no place in terms of relation to super-strength.

If you tell me that you don't like a skinny WW, that's fair and I completely understand it. But not for one second do I believe the dislike is based on anything else than just preference and wanting a different version of WW.

And if you're concerned about it looking weird, the movie may suck, but I'm pretty certain WW will look great hurling rubble and throwing haymakers around.

Lol. I explained the best I could. If you don't see it, then you don't see it. This movie is probably going to be mixed bag of things I like and things that I really don't like, just like the last 3 Snyder films I've seen. If WB is listening, I am willing to wash Zach Snyder's car(s) if I do end up liking this movie, but you have to give me an advance screening.[emoji6]

No, I see it, I just don't share your view on this one m80, we cool :duff:

Yeah I get the feeling this will have mixed reception too.

What do you think of the single line she's spoken so far? I thought she sounded good, loved the accent.

No honestly, I do. I'm intrigued by her solo movie. I like Gadot's performance from what little we have seen. Her accent is cool. I do wish her costume wasn't another burgundy leather rubber number though, I really don't like these sculpted suits that look like metal, leather etc.. Look like cheap TV stuff.. Her shots from BVS are some of the highlights of the trailers.
Dunno.. Could be completely wrong, but get a good vibe. A bit Silk spectre from WM.

It was pretty funny that most of the Gadot hate went "pooff" after everybody heard her speak :lol Like "alright, she sounds decent".

I have to admit the sculpted muscle suits weren't my favorite thing either (the approach, the designs I do like), but I've learnt to love them, they feel very 90's.

And not Liefeld 90's, to me this movie feels more like 90's Jim Lee rather than 90's Liefeld. Like Top-Cow/high-end Image comics instead of low-end Image comics. With all the religious stuff, the grimdark and heavy handed dialogue.

Not to throw fuel to the company wars or anything, but it's the opposite with me, most MCU costumes feel like TV quality to me, i.e. Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Arrowguy, Thor...

I would have thought this movie would be critic proof since it's Batman and Superman on screen together for the first time. Nothing is in the same league as Star Wars, but I thought that Batman and Superman were the biggest icons after Darth Vader so there would be no problem.

I've never seen a Transformers movie in my life so I can't jump on any hate bandwagon, but the way people talk about them, I'd think think movie would still be critic proof regardless of quality acting or writing. No offense Transformers fans! I know absolutely nothing about those movies, and they make box office records, so they could be good.

apologies if this has already been posted and discussed
but how would you guys feel if they went back and did a batman in the 40s type film at some point ,
saw this and thought it had great potential ,i guess the baldwin boat has well and truly sailed by now but he would have been great for it around the time he shot the shadow ,maybe the best visualization of the comic book joker ive seen so far ,batmans no slouch either lol

It will be critic proof, we fanboys can't help but talk the way we do amongst each other. The only way critics can affect the outcome is if there is a unanimous outcry of suckiness aimed toward this movie. WB had invested too much time and money to release a BvS film that's critically panned the same as an Adam Sandler movie.
