Great. Now Disney's gonna buy DC too.

Then again he did say Affleck is the best screen version of Batman...the only nice thing he said.

Which is not really saying that much, assuming by "screen" he meant "live action."

No one has ever nailed a live action Batman character yet -- not West, nor Burton, nor Schumacher, nor Nolan, etc.

Timm showed the Worthless-Beancounters how to do it with The Animated Series . . . but those mouth-breathing morons couldn't find their ***** with two hands & an *** Map.

I knew Lex was gonna suck.

:lecture

You and everyone else who saw the trailers . . . :lol

Matt Singer of Screencrush said, “In Snyder’s formulation, protecting the world from evil isn’t a gift or a calling; it’s a burden. And that feeling is reflected in the movie itself, a burdensome 150-minute slog about two men fighting over who is in the right when both are very clearly in the wrong.”

Keep tryin' WB! :clap
Even a blind squirrel can find a nut . . .

Ultimately, we're just really weird creatures. We sit in a dark room with a bunch of strangers and escape our own lives by watching people get paid to pretend that they're other people with different lives for entertainment, while eating dehydrated corn and drinking carbonated syrup. But that's not enough; no. We have to go ask random people, whose only purpose is to watch these recorded facsimiles of life and tell us whether we should watch them, if it's worth giving them our paper in order to see these people play make-believe.

My brother got to see an advanced screening of this tonight and he loved it. 3 1/2 out of 4 stars. I'd call him a casual comic book fan. He's pretty good with Batman but isn't well versed in Superman or DC heroes much, so he isn't a massive fanboy, but still a fanboy nonetheless. I'm the guy the family turns to during the after credit scenes and asks, "What was that about? Who was that? Etc" but I am by no means an expert. I know a just a little about a lot - a great part due to this hobby and the little bits of history you pick up from various toy lines.

He said the film certainly leaves you wanting more - both backstories and future stories. He actually enjoyed Lex and Batfleck, neither actor he particularly likes. Said he starts out slow, but was good overall. He, unfortunately, was on the front row of an IMAX theater so he's eager to see it again this weekend from a decent seat so he can enjoy the action scenes without being right up to the screen.

He and I have pretty similar tastes in movies, so he's positive review is good sign to me at least. He really wanted me to explain somethings to him but couldn't really help him figure things out or who certain characters were without spoiling things. So it sounded like there are plenty of easter egg hints for the well versed fans that regular audiences might miss. He's really enjoying holding this over me as its not often he gets to see things before I do. He did say the Batman vs Superman fight was epic, and really, thats all I really cared about getting out of this film in the end. As long as Bats gets to put Supes in his place, then I'm good.

One problem I have is it looks like the whole movie or a majority of it takes place at night. All the fight scenes I have seen are in the dark.
