The people who don't find the movie fun are people that would probably never have found it fun anyway... They just want some silly **** like in the Marvel movies... Not saying I have a problem with that silly ****, because I love every Marvel Studios movie they've put out since Iron Man, but in some cases, they could tone down the silliness a bit. Sounds to me like BvS lacks any sense of humor, and I'm ok with that.

Here's a review from someone who didn't like MOS.

Honestly, critical reviews are kind of important. They can certainly hurt a films box office, and they even get brought up when talking about a films success historically. That's usually why I care about reviews, a lot of times my opinion doesn't match up with the consensus but at the end of the day critical reviews are kind of important. I'm just praying one of these days a MCU film will finally be rotten because I know a lot of fans hide behind that argument.

I personally think Iron Man 2, 3, THor 2, TIH, Ant-Man, Avengers, and AOU should all be rotten, I just don't know how these movies got good reviews. I actually think MOS is better than most of these movies I listed and I don't think that movie was very good either.

There are stories of studio exec sending nasty "take that *******, your opinion means nothing" messages to critics on poorly reviewed movies that made huge money. :lol

I saw it tonight and if you like comic books and superheroes you'll love it! I thought it was amazing and was really, really thrilled. Don't seek anything out and go enjoy a really great comic come to life.

Well almost every movie ever reviewed is reviewed in context.

Yes I know, and it's dumb when context trumps quality. Context can be noted but it should never be the defining factor a film is judged by. Revenge of the Sith got a 79% because it followed AOTC. The Wolf of Wall Street got a 77% because "Scorsese can do better." So ROTS is a better made film that WoWS? Yeah right. :lol

Jesus :lol

Sometimes I forget about how much goes on behind the scenes of these large budget films.

I still want to see a documentary on Fantastic 4 and what exactly went on behind the scenes of that movie.

Everyone is now going to ask you if you liked MOS and AOU. :lol

EW's Anthony Breznican:

"I wish the constitution didn't clearly state that an individual's right to enjoy entertainment shall be curtailed based on tomato freshness."

:lol :lecture :lecture :lecture

Rolling Stone mag review summary

"Better than Man of Steel but below the high bar set by Nolan's Dark Knight, Dawn of Justice is still a colossus, the stuff that DC Comics dreams are made of for that kid in all of us who yearns to see Batman and Superman suit up and go in for the kill. Suck on that, Marvel. After this, can Justice League v The Avengers be far behind?"

See? He notes context but rates the film on its own merits. Well done.

Hold on, let me get this straight...WB OWNS RT!!!

OH MAN, if that's true....that is straight up LOLCAT worthy of epic proportions.

2 Things:

1) Time Warner is just a minority owner of Flixster (which owns RT). Universal actually owns the majority of shares.

2) It shouldn't matter anyway, since RT doesn't actually review the movies, it just takes individual reviews and has its funky Common Core-like algorithm :lol

Sounds to me like the movie was over most critics heads... Oh well, I'm sure i'll enjoy it.

Its not that... It isn't "going over people's heads". That would mean it is smarter than the viewer. It is not.

It's that the movie really doesn't ever bother to make sense. It even goes so far as to contradict the rationale it sets for itself.

given how critical most here are about superhero films, I kind of doubt it lol. I know I will. I like some of the things said so far from members here. I knew Lex was gonna suck :gah:
