2 Things:

1) Time Warner is just a minority owner of Flixster (which owns RT). Universal actually owns the majority of shares.

2) It shouldn't matter anyway, since RT doesn't actually review the movies, it just takes individual reviews and has its funky Common Core-like algorithm :lol

:lol :lol

Well that wasn't predictable at all. :lol

Oh man...whatever you do......do not read his review! :lol

Then again he did say Affleck is the best screen version of Batman...the only nice thing he said. :lol

Its not that... It isn't "going over people's heads". That would mean it is smarter than the viewer. It is not.

It's that the movie really doesn't ever bother to make sense. It even goes so far as to contradict the rationale it sets for itself.

Sallah

By "over their heads" i meant more along the lines that they're not particularly familiar with the tone a movie like this should have... Although we do have the Avengers on the big screen, this movie is still treading new ground with the overall tone for a superhero team up movies. Basically what i was saying is that it sounded to me like they were expecting something else. But I have yet to see the movie so my opinion is moot anyway.

Seriously though, f all these fake comic fans. I'm beyond sick of it.
You aren't going to see film noir, it's a movie based on comic book characters so if you actually like comics you'll enjoy this movie. I'm not going to spoil anything at all because it should be enjoyed with a fresh palette.

Just for conversation's sake - what specifically bothered you? Aside from the shock of Eisenberg's Lex, the only dialogue that bugged me in the trailers was the "thought she was with you" exchange.

Sorry for the late response, I just seen this post.

For me, everything that came out of Eisenberg's mouth was pretty bad, but I think the worst thing I saw was Superman telling Batman off in that TV clip regarding the batsignal. Most of the lines from Batfleck taunting Superman during their fight were a bit cringeworthy to me as well. Most of the stuff I liked came from Cavill in the trailers and that one exchange between Bruce and Alfred about Superman being the Emmy or whatnot was okay.

Affleck, Gadot, and the score are being praised. Still looking forward to it. :D

Rolling Stone mag review summary

"Better than Man of Steel but below the high bar set by Nolan's Dark Knight, Dawn of Justice is still a colossus, the stuff that DC Comics dreams are made of for that kid in all of us who yearns to see Batman and Superman suit up and go in for the kill. Suck on that, Marvel. After this, can Justice League v The Avengers be far behind?"

I called this weeks ago. Just waiting on access Hollywood Scott Mantz.

Faraci is a hack. Dude trips over himself to praise The Nostalgia Awakens, yet says this is a bad film. He loved Iron Man 3 but BvS is a bad film. He's just a dude lookin for clicks.

WTF? Did I just wake up to the DCCU being cancelled? This thing is rating barely above Fantastic Four?

Irish, you've got some 'splanin' to do.
