Agreed. . .just don't become an armed, private contractor/security guard in Gotham (or was it Metropolis?). Because if you transport the wrong material from point A to point B, you're dead as a mother****er.

"I'm going to pay you to drive this secret box from Point A to Point B. Kill anything that gets close to you. Oh, and Batman might try and stop you, if he does, kill him too."

"Okay boss--wait, wut?"

They had it coming. :lol

Batman. Now he throws cars at you.

Well, now I'm really jealous... I've got to rely on digital copies for the time being, and they're just not the same. Strange thing is, some issues cost 10$, some 3$, and then some skyrocket to 400$ or so (like #15). At least Marvel's putting out reprints for us folks.

Yea I guess they had super low print runs the higher they went.

Good ol #15. THE best illustrated comic. period. Totleben has no equal.

My copy

:clap :clap :clap

AWESOME.

By the way, you wanna talk about dark comics. That issue. DAMN.

Batman is just the coolest in this movie. Not only did he echo some of our greatest real life heroes when he ran toward the collapsing skyscraper (and gratuitous or not it DID give me what I believe to be the slightest peek at the horror those emergency workers faced and the unbridled heroism many of them displayed by charging into it) but even from a purely fantasy sense just that moment when Supes was down for the count up in space and Bruce, alone, quickly analyzed the situation, determined how Doomsday could be killed, and *by himself* used his own body and ship to lure the KRYPTONIAN MONSTER to the place it could be defeated.

I mean the thing was pretty much 9/11 on two legs and he elected to dance with it. Damn.

Agreed. That was a brief glimpse at the courage that certain individuals in this world have in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. It was also just badass in the most awesome of ways.

The dream sequence was filmed as a single unbroken shot with an IMAX camera that began INSIDE the truck trailer with Batman. As the massive camera lifted out of the truck they had to open the entire roof of the trailer and then within a minute restore it back to its original state in time for when the camera panned back around and showed the trailer from the outside. Just one of the many amazing aspects of that sequence.

On another note it was Gadot's idea to bring the "attitude" to Wonder Woman. She suggested doing the smirk after DD hits her and Zack ran with it.

Someone posted that character is KGBeast. So he will prolly come back with his go-go-gadget arm weapon attachment.

All the goons prolly walked away except the one that got his neck broke when he met the floor.....

The nightmare sequence actually reminded me of Dreamscape. The apocalypse, the fact that it was a dream, etc. It would have been cool if Dennis Quaid showed up and turned into Pa Kent so that Batman could get the drop on Supes.

I saw BvS with my kids, and these are their Batman and Superman.
It'll never be Christopher Reeve, Michael Keaton or Christian Bale for them. And, actually, I'm happy that is so.

Although Reeve was probably the perfect incarnation of the Silver Age Superman, I never really liked his portrayal, not even when I first saw the movie in theatres way back in '78. I think I appreciate that movie nowadays more than I did then, as an example of the best comic book movie from that era.
As for Batman, Keaton never really did it for me, nor did his movies. Although I must say I enjoyed Batman Returns a lot more than the first one. However, in hindsight, neither movie stands the test of time for me.

In any case, none of those movies really hold any interest to my kids. Just for comparison, they really like the Star Wars OT, even though they grew up with the PT. So it's not just that the movies are old. They are dated, and the characters and portrayals of the characters are dated.

Nolan and Bale's Batman didn't do it for my kids either. Probably too serious and dour for them. And they never could get past Batman's silly voice and pouty lips.
As for me, I remember going to see Batman Begins with all the nerdy enthusiasm imaginable and coming out slightly annoyed with "the voice". But I liked it a lot. I still think it's the best Batman movie of Nolan's trilogy. Probably not the best movie, but the best Batman Movie Nolan and Bale made.

So here we are, with MOS and BvS, seeing both movies in the theatre with my kids.
Cavill and Affleck are their Superman and Batman. Gadot is their Wonder Woman.
And they frigging love them.

They get that Superman isn't super right off the bat.
They get that Batman has serious issues.
They get that the world can be a scary place (hey, they watch the news).

But above all, they get that people can do their damn best to be good and do right by others, even if they sometimes fail and make mistakes.
And that's fine by me.

I'm happy these are their super heroes that entertain them and maybe leave a nice message here and there among the destruction and pile of corpses. :lol

Despite some ambivalence others may have, I for one am truly excited that aspects of Bill Finger's original intention for Bats may possibly be coming back in the solo Affleck Batman films and Justice League. We got a taste of it in BvS, and Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello brought it back quite a few times in the comics, thus why I will only read Batman when and if his character is wielded by these two fine gentlemen. I can really say that I feel almost...what's a good word for it?....whimsical. Haha. [emoji851][emoji51][emoji23]

Great post there! :duff

How old are your kids by the way? I remember seeing a 6(ish) year old dressed up as Superman in my screening and thinking that this movie might not be for them...
