All I can say is no way was that Affleck doing this :lol

I think so. These pics suggest so anyway:

As a one-off comparison that does make good sense, since they're very close box office wise.

But I don't know why more people don't compare it to MAN OF STEEL. That's the actual bellwether.

It's gonna make more than MOS, be quite profitable, and most importantly position the future DC films for success. Everyone's happy, except for maybe diehard DC fans who get caught up in the whole "it's a contest with Marvel!" B.S. That's all in the minds of fans. Neither WB or Marvel/Disney could really give a toss about that. In fact, if anything, they'll pull for each other to do well since maintaining financial success in the genre is good for all.

I thought it was far worse than MoS, personally.

And I hate the whole 'Marvel vs DC' thing too, by the way.

IM3 wasn't all bad, just all that roided out lava looking formula concept for the villains creepe me out.

Something about Rey's stats not matching her character level which specifically contradicted pg. 41 of West End Games Star Wars The Roleplaying Game (Revised Hardcover Edition) and a bunch of other crap.
I hope that's a joke.

Actually once again I go against the grain here because I was actually quite impressed with IM3.

I like IM3 as well, and I don't get the hate, truth be told. It's not great Iron Man movie, but as just a movie? It's dang good. It's enjoyable, not overly cheesy and easily watchable. Sure, the Mandarin was neither the classic nor the modern Mandarin and Killian being the big bad was a bad move, but the whole movie was actually rather tight. IMO, always.

Yeah, Ben actually did do a lot of his own fighting and stunts. He even drove the Batmobile. Probably in the best shape of his life, pretty good at 42-44 years old.

Damn, that's great to hear! It certainly takes away from the "magic" if the character is being played by a different person in certain scenes.

I'm a quarter of the way through TDKR (a very good read so far) and I'm already surprised at how much was lifted for various films (Veteran to rookie cop: "Oh you're in for a show tonight," "psychotic" being a word for things too big for small minds, the empty Robin suit (which actually LOOKS like a Robin suit,) etc., but I couldn't help but chuckle when I came to the part about "old" Bruce Wayne actually being younger in age than I am now. I guess that's what happens when you wait 30 years to read something. :lol

It's hard to tell with the leaping over the box in your gif. I'm sure the punching and blocking was him. Even Keaton was able to do that.

Gadot had to do her own stunts, you can't hide her face with that outfit , hence the extreme workouts she endured and well as the weight gain.

I think Cavill wouldn't star in a movie if he couldn't do his own stunts but I believe in Daredevil, Affleck had some stuntmen for the real extreme action scenes

After years of Adam West and Keaton fighting with both legs planted firmly on the ground I remember the nerdgasm I had when Kilmer Bats did that back flip out of the fountain in the midst of machine gun fire in the first Batman Forever teaser. That move was the "Winter Soldier" of its time. :lol

Yeah and like a punk kid I was at the time I actually thought it was Kilmer doing the flip on a Harness. Later I found out it was a gymnast who was only around 5"5 :lol

The fact that the two biggest heroes are behind...a C list character like Iron Man, it's embarrassing :dunno

Iron Man was hardly C-list in 2013. He's arguably the biggest cinematic superhero in the world right now, behind only Batman and ahead of even Spider-Man.

Something else to consider: WB and Snyder willingly sacrificed some box office dollars in order to make the type of film they wanted to make. I took both my kids to see AoU twice in the theater (six tickets) vs. me seeing BvS twice but not taking my kids due to the subject matter (two tickets.) Yet I like BvS more than AoU. It isn't always about box office.

That's very true. No C-list character is making a Billion dollars at the box office. Iron Man went from C-list to A-list pretty quickly.
