I truly doubt the movie is already profitable . On the low end , with advertising costs , the movie needs to make $300 million domestically to start making profits .

Studios never release marketing costs, so I would estimate (conservatively) they need to cover $600 million to start making a profit .

Nope. It needed to hit $550-$600 million wordwide.

The $150-200 million marketing budget was offset by promotional partnerships. They probably even profited some off that, too.

I was making a joke. I already elaborated in another post about what does and does not qualify as a success with regard to franchise films.

JL is around the same. They're shooting most of it at WB Studios Leavesden.

They're technically separate films, so that's just the first one, though I do believe the plan is to supplement SOME of the filming for the sequel by shooting some stuff for that this first go-round.

The DC films have literally taken over Leavesden. Wonder Woman is about to wrap there, with some overlap with JL when it starts shooting in a week or so. Then, when it wraps they'll immediately start shooting either The Flash or Aquaman, followed by JL 2. It's a crazy, non-stop schedule there for the next 2-3 years.

That depends entirely on what Affleck wants to do, and his schedule. My guess is it won't be too long from now. He also doesn't really have to film it in Leavesden, though I imagine some of it would be.

Any ideas at all at what the Affleck solo film will be about? I know we've had a couple big Joker movies now but I'd love to see him against Leto and Robbie with maybe one other villain who's never appeared in live-action before.

I must say I'm pretty intrigued about him going up against something as otherworldly as Man-Bat though after getting that little taste in BvS.

I hope WB doesn't do something stupid like killing the joker. He should be a recurring character that shows up even if he's the main villain...actually, all the villains should be like that since they are building a cinematic universe. It'd be nice to see The Penguin as a club owner who gives Batman information from time to time, while other villains are in Arkham Asylum already. If they create some kind of Legion of Doom that would be amazing, maybe even have Joker and Lex Luthor in one scene together....so many possibilities. It should be a world where all these characters coexist, not just show up for a film and die. The Court of Owls would be cool as an underground society under Gotham.

I hate to say it but I'm kind of glad Affleck and Garner aren't on good terms right now. I'd hate to see another "Daredevil 2003" and have her show up as Catwoman or something.

I doubt they will kill Joker. I hope the Batman solo film will be The Killing Joke and a prequel to Suicide Squad.

If not, I would love to see other villains who haven't been done recently, including Riddler, Ivy and Freeze.

After he's done filming JL he has a free slot, hopefully it's his Batman movie.
