I do care if it can hit $1 billion- as much as I loved the film I care because it does threaten the entire course for the DC universe films- yes JL is happening but I think if it doesn't reach $1 bilion WB will panic and scrap alot of the DC movies after JL . Maybe a good thing if they fast track Batman solo film but honestly it is a position that may force big changes. I think Zack will be done after JL. $1 billion is the magic mark for a "blockbuster success" in movies these days...

That's not true. The only thing that would threaten the post-JL films now is if Suicide Squad and (especially) Wonder Woman tank.

We all witnessed what happened with ASM2 and soon with Xmen v Deadpool.

The 1 billion mark in just box office alone truly has become the line in the sand regarding future talent and budget stability.

If BvS doesn't pass 1 billion at the box office will there be noticeable repercussions to the path that has already been set, we shall see.

I do admit that an 81% dropoff rate will make a billion worldwide very unlikely. If WB was Sony they'd probably be thinking reboot (and maybe they are) but at least we're still getting the JL with this current group and we sure as heck better get that solo Affleck Bat film.

It's a shame but I think a total reboot is likely but how to do that keeping Affleck? It's going to be facinating to see what unfolds in the months ahead if it can't make $1 billion.

I honestly don't care if WB cans the upcoming Aquaman and Flash solo films.

It anything, I can see the solo Batman film just get slotted in earlier and push those back (but again, that's all depending on Affleck). Then the other solo films would rest on the success of Justice League.

Also, don't forget Suicide Squad is essentially in the can and Wonder Woman is about to wrap. If both do well and at least one is a big hit it will reinforce the current roadmap.

I hope that's true. I think we'll see alot of creative talent behind the camera change. If the darn reviews weren't so bad....:gah:
