If they come with the theatrical version and the directors cut as well as the statue then that is a cool package!

How do you know what he was feeling at that moment?

Not sarcastic either, genuinely asking. :)

Because I know he was just flat exhausted and even a little sick (after having events in 4 cities across the world in back-to-back-to-back days and sleeping about 2-3 hours a day on airplanes). They actually had to film that interview (and the one before it) multiple times because he literally fell asleep. :lol

Also, dude does still have a lot going on in his personal life that is way more important than movies.

It's a funny video meme, though. It's just not an accurate portrayal of what was actually going on.

Pride, mostly. After years of planning he's formulated the "perfect" plan and doesn't have any doubts. He wants this to be a show, not stealth-kill. He wants to humiliate Superman, who dared play god in his turf. So, yeah, I'm going with vanity and the lust for revenge. He wants to slay the beast, not simply kill it... That, or they just wanted a fight scene in the movie...

Cause he's smart yo! They never explain it, but eh, the explaination is probably "he's a genius", which I don't have a problem with.

What bothered me is how Superman also suddenly knew Batman's identity, and Bats didn't even flinch there. I mean, this guy you wanted to kill knows your secret and you didn't even acknowledge it? I get that they had "bigger" problems, but it seemed weird to me how little Batman cared that this invulnarable "murderer" knew his secret, and possibly for a while now.

Which wasn't explained either, how Supes guys from not knowing who Bruce Wayne is, to uncovering his alias. Eh, I guess when the mask was half-broken he recognized him, it's not too far fetched.
Supes demonstrated X-Ray vision powers in Man of Steel I think, so that explained that to my mind.

And I think the "they just wanted a cool fight scene in the movie" explanation about covers it :lol

Wait, are people really complaining that there wasn't exposition explaining Batman's armor?? If so, that's gotta be hair-pulling. I refuse to believe anyone (especially on here) would really have a problem with that. But, if so... wow.
It's cool that they had a chance to reference the Dark Knight Returns and all, but they could have done a better job setting it up IMO. Having said that, the stuff surrounding the fight wasn't one of my major criticisms. Apart from the ending, and then just leaving the Kryptonite spear hanging around for whomever to run across :lol

It bugged me at first on initial viewing but then it made sense that since the island and buildings were abandoned that the spear was safe for the immediate future.

They were fighting on an abandoned island full of abandoned buildings? I didn't catch that :lol That's even more extreme a reaction to Man of Steel than I thought they were doing with the Doomsday fight. I thought it was just an abandoned building in their version of Manhattan.

Wait Ben was really spacing out while the camera slowly zoomed in on him? :google I assumed he and Cavill literally staged the whole thing as a joke!

Yeah they really went too far the other way with collateral damage this time. I think they even said that the helicopters that Doomsday destroyed were uninhabited or something.

"Oh good the battle is being conducted during a remote control army helicopter exercise. That was lucky!"

"Hey it's 5:00 pm. Good thing all those office workers stepped into their teleporters and instantly beamed home!"

On a related note, how did they explain how Lex finds out who Superman is? I can't remember.

I don't think there's any explanation given for anyone knowing who anyone is by the end. Superman knows who Batman is, Lex knows who both of them are somehow. I'm not sure.

Yeah, an uninhabited island. Still though, Batman wanted bring Doomsday back into Gotham in order to kill it... no idea why.

I thought he was bringing Doomsday toward the spear? If so, they would have been moving from an abandoned field (?) or whatever it was to the abandoned island full of abandoned buildings and robot-piloted helicopters, right?

Why was the entire island abandoned, by the way? I also missed that one, obviously.

And the robot helicopters were flying over the abandoned field next to the abandoned buildings on the abandoned island...after business hours. Don't forget that last part. All the abandoned workers had all gone home for the day.

Actually I think they even mentioned something about a bunch of women giving birth on that island during the fight so they actually ended up with *negative* casualties.

Wasn't the spear in an abandoned building in Gotham? If the Bat Signal is in Gotham, then that's where it will be. I remember Superman flying a hell of a long way away from Doomsday to save Lois and get the spear. That meant that in the end, Doomsday didn't actually get led into Gotham, but that doesn't stop Batman from being a hypocrite for suggesting that they needed to do so. :lol

They should really have just gone the next level and pulled out the dubbed Dragonball Z concept, that no one gets killed off. They simply "get sent to another dimension."

Well JYE said Bats and Superman were fighting in the abandoned building on an abandoned island. Unless the spear got transported somewhere else without explanation, which is totally feasible. Would seem like a lot of work for Batman to move his batsignal from Gotham to this mysterious island, but he's got the resources to do it.

I don't like Gotham and Metropolis being so close that people from Metropolis can see the Batsignal. It makes their world feel small, and yet Clark doesn't know what Bruce Wayne looks like, despite both cities being so close. The only reason I can think of as to why they put both cities so close to one another, is so that Batman could get there in time for the final battle against Doomsday.
