Well JYE said Bats and Superman were fighting in the abandoned building on an abandoned island. Unless the spear got transported somewhere else without explanation, which is totally feasible. Would seem like a lot of work for Batman to move his batsignal from Gotham to this mysterious island, but he's got the resources to do it.

I don't know about the abandoned building on an abandoned island thing, I thought they were in Gotham, mainly because of the location of the Batsignal - then again, I'm sure Jye has seen the movie many more times than I have. :lol

The spear was thrown in a pool by Lois Lane, who somehow knew that they needed it again without any explanation. :lol But I think it was still in Gotham.

Still, my main complaint is that Mr. Bruce "I hate bringing destruction to densely populated cities" Wayne suggested that they lure the monster into a densely populated city in order to kill it, a move that would surely cause much further destruction. :slap

The Batman/Superman fight and then that part of the final battle takes place in The Port area of Gotham, which is abandoned. Batman states this right after Wonder Woman asks him why he lured Doomsday back to the city.

Godot is looking strong compared to Amy "mere mortal" Adams. :D

Yeah, everything until Wonder Woman appears basically. Then it's in The Port of Gotham.

Ok, I'm starting to understand things now. The action had overwhelmed me at that point I think. :lol

I think this is worth a revisit at some point, I will check out the director's cut to see if it is more cohesive at all.

One thing I think is funny about the movie is how batman is all badass with his mecha suit and His glowing eyes all defying of superman's instructions to not show up when his light is shinning.
Such a hardcore moment for batman, he's all like:
" oh yeah superman? U tell me to not go to my light? U threaten me!!!????
I'm going to turn on my light and lets see what you think about this jerk!

Batman waiting in the rain like " u freaking brake my car jerk... oh yeah it's on man, it is ON!!!! IM SHINNING MY LIGHT, WHAT U GONNA DO MAN????

And superman couldn't care any less... :lol :lol he literally does not care at all
Superman at that moment could not give a crap about batman and his light lol.
If it wasn't for lex FORCING him TO GO I could picture batman waiting all night until the sun shows up next morning being like "eehhh well. This is awkward :lol

Had Lex not kidnapped his mother Superman would've still confronted Batman once the light was turned on BUT by that point Superman cared more about his mother than Batman's light anyways.

We have no reason to believe that Superman wouldn't have kept his word.

This movie is made of rubber, it will continue to bounce back whatever you throw at it! :lol

superman was hiding and if it wasn't for Lois falling Superman would not even know the light is ON!!! :lol:lol

The only reason he even showed up was because he heard her screaming :rotfl

I just think it is funny that this is Batman's biggest moment in the movie, the most suspenseful for him, the most dangerous moment and Superman was probably watching tv hiding somewhere before he heard Lois screaming :lol:lol

But he was totally ignoring the light until Lex tried to kill Lois. That's what brought Sups back from exile, not some light in the sky. After he saved Lois for the 100th time, he went to snap Lex's neck, but he found out about his mom.

edit- Never mind, Crows came to the rescue...Hopeman style. :lol

Thanks for clearing up the issue re: abandoned island V the abandoned docks. I honestly didn't catch any of that distinction on my viewing.

Yep, people can reject it because Zack made different choices than they would have but his choices on the whole were sound and internally consistent and can withstand the complaints.
It is Zach, or Goyer/Terrio who gets the credit/blame here?

Putting that aside, I think you're right for most issues folks have. It's more criticisms that people just wouldn't really act the way characters onscreen do. One that I still can't figure out logically though is blowing up the Congressional hearing.

even After Clark sees the light and Lex tells him to go fight batman, supes is like "Meh..... i dont care man, Lois is safe so no thanks, im good" :lol

Well Zach would have ultimately gotten to decide what did and did not stay in the movie, etc., unless of course the studio trumped him with any of their own demands.

But that's all just circular preaching to the choir stuff. Luthor blew up the hearing to make it look like carnage follows Superman where ever he goes (even when he's being law abiding and diplomatic) it killed an outspoken ex-Wayne Enterprises employee whom Bruce was sympathetic toward, plus it killed Holly Hunter who had stated she was going to fight his acquisition of "a weapon of assassination" and it covered his tracks of said acquisition by also taking out the one Senator who gave him full access to everything.

But now if you or anyone else says "well that's stupid" or "that's pointless, doesn't make sense," etc., it still doesn't change the fact that it does make sense for others and no one will probably be convincing anyone of changing their mind if it's already been made up.
