He's got a great visual style. Makes great movie trailers.

You raise an interesting point. You say he makes great trailers, others say that BvS was a "two and a half hour trailer for JL." So what if they had held off releasing this movie and just literally had it BE a trailer that played before JL? Would there be anything left to complain about?

I certainly couldn't complain without sounding like a hypocrite. That should be the new strategy--all Snyderverse films exist solely as trailers to later films. So, no critics can post scores on Rotten Tomatoes, and we can just say how much we appreciate his ability to cut a nice advertisement for something that comes out later, with the appropriate amount of flair, slow-motion shots, explosions, dramatic turns toward the camera, etc.

Or WB can say that Snyder only makes straight to blu-ray films (the extended cuts) and the theatrical releases are just trailers for *those.* So again, no reviews, complaints, etc., until the real movie comes out. Then when the EE is released if anyone says it sucks WB can say "but you've already seen 90% of it, what were you expecting" and then move on to the next one.

I could see it working assuming WB finds some way to prevent Disney from slipping Zack mickeys right prior to interviews.

thats what happened with watchmen, people praised the EE even people that didnnt like the movie at first

Well, there are silent movies that are considered masterpieces. :lol

Someone should tie Snyder down and force him to watch DD season 1 and 2, lots of talking in those. :lol

BvS is still sweet but yeah, no more drugs for that man before interviews.

That's the other thing. It can't be that, either. I can't speak for his past, but I know the dude is pretty much as clean as it gets. He barely even drinks. He's one of those "clean living" freaks.

Then again, maybe he could use a nice shot of bourbon before speaking to the press. :lol

Well, the Director's Cut of WATCHMEN is indeed much, much better. That said, I also prefer it to the even longer "Ultimate Cut". The animated Black Freighter just doesn't quite work within the film itself.

unicorns who **** rainbows into the bottle.

Wrong thread jye.

I want a director's cut of Batman v Superman called - Man of Steel 2, Batman: Solo Movie and Batman vs Superman.

Yes the Watchmen director's cut is the only version you should see- far superior to the theatrical cut which looks choppy indeed when you see it. Boy I really think there might be more fans of BvS after they see the longer cut. However it will still have it's fair share of detractors.

Batman talking with ra's al ghul both in full costume at the end of Batman Begins... I cant believe Snyder said that, might be fake

it's weird because how are they going to handle Justice League if characters talking to each other is unrealistic and ridiculous.

(How come Zod in his uniform talking to Superman was not ridiculous in Man Of Steel? they talked a lot.... wouldn't that be just as ridiculous as batman talking to superman? )

dont forget this little gem, Demon batman talking to a scared scarecrow lol...

Did you guys really listen to the interview? Or much like the movie, decided to pick and choose what you want to see or hear to find something wrong with it?

He wasnt talking about costume heroes talking to each other are weird in general, he was talking about the dialogue with Batman and Superman in the context of their differences.
Its not like he was saying its stupid to see costume heroes talking to each other.
But the whole confrontation between batman and superman babbling to each other before fighting didnt look right so he left it with their alter ego's doing the conversation, and the small part of do you bleed...then lead it all to the big fight.

This is the same context as in AOU when Cap, IM, Hawkeye, and Widow are about to fight Ulron...with the cant break an omellete without breaking some eggs talk.
He had Batman and Superman have the same thing, and talk before fighting, and to him, it just didnt work.

And as far as the talk about the alter ego is concerned, to me...it sounds like he's one of those people that gets ahead of themselves trying to explain something, which can sound off. I sometimes do this also when I'm trying to explain something.
But its pretty easy to see what he's trying to emphasize was that there was no need to explain why Luthor knows who they are.
And that by trying to explain, you may even end up undermining a possible even better explanation on how Luthor did it.
I dont know if it was Snyder who said it or the other guy who even joked about Luthor creating a being to figure out their alter egos, which is of course, poking fun of the whole concept of it.

He explains how in today's world, it is kinda crazy how people can actually hide an identity, like just wearing a mask and BAM...no one knows who they are. So its not hard to conceive a genius like Luthor figuring out who they are. And that to me seems to where he pokes fun of the whole secret identity.

I did not hear one thing about that interview where it sounded like he's weird or drunk or not making sense.
Everything he said made sense...but if people would like to pick and choose what they want to hear...sure, its up to interpretation.
