:lol

Even though Joker made the final killing move, it was Batman that got it there for him.

All Joker did was make the required final 3cm twist movement to finish the seperation.

Totally.

1986: Totally brutal and dark Batman still hesitates to actually take a human life, no matter how vile, Joker breaks his own neck

2013: "Here let me take care of that for you--" *SNAP* "Now where's my woman??" *smoochy smoochy smoochy*--Superman

After the New 52 reboot, Superman wasn't even with Lois

I love how Superman timed it and spaced out his flying lunge attack against the african with just enough space to not harm Lois but totally break that guy to pieces from not only the impact from Superman but also the impact of being pushed thru a concrete wall! Splat! :horror

Ahhhhh.....Love. :lol

And how did Lois' letting go of the guy's arm translate to him letting go of her? That would have been awkward if Superman got off the guy's crumpled form a mile a way and saw that he was still holding her detached head...

Superman moved his arm off her neck while flying by. :lol

He's quick yo!

I guess the speed just made his arm flop off from her.

Or...

he heat vision lobotomy his head first before impact and the guy went flacid. :horror

What a sick SOB! :yess:

lol @ thinking Bats just hit someone in the shoulder while unloading a M60.

Well, you only see one shell fly off, so who knows? This is a universe where a 60 yo man can wear spandex and go toe to toe with young mutants. Chances are he killed him, but it is left kinda ambiguous.

New rumours:

THR Article: Warner Bros. Mulls Releasing Fewer Films as 'Batman v. Superman' Stalls - Hollywood Reporter

TL;DR Version: Apparently Warner Bros. Plans To Release Fewer Movies After BATMAN V SUPERMAN Underperforms

I don't buy that, but I think films like Cyborg may be put on the backburner while the Batman Solo flick comes out sooner.

Well the art does show just one ejected casing...

I definitely assumed that he killed the guy (of course I had BvS fresh in my mind :lol) but it wasn't until after the Joker died that the cops got so up in arms about him being a murderer which made me rethink the M60 scene.

Actually, that THR piece seems to implye that WB is thinking of producing fewer big-budget films OTHER THAN its three "silos": DC, Harry Potter, and LEGO. It cites big, expensive box office failures like Jupiter Ascending, Pan, and In The Heart of The Sea, which were all indeed much more costly for them.

That said, I tend to agree that planning a solo Cyborg film was probably putting the cart a tad before the horse. :lol But if only because I've always personally thought that character was boring as **** and wouldn't be interesting at all outside of a superhero team concept.

Yea a Cyborg flick would need Beastboy and Raven!

New Teen Titans is one of my favorite comics ever. But I agree with Irish about Cyborg. Even there, he wasn't someone I would have wanted to see solo stories on. He's probably the only member of the team I would say that about :lol

I don't want to sound like a cynic, but I wouldn't be shocked if the primary reason his film was pushed is because he's black. And if that's the case, c'mon. Mr. Terrific could make for an an amazing movie. Or John Stewart, or plenty of other black characters in DC. Not freakin' Cyborg.

The ******* Batman. :tap

He can easily shoot an M60 one handed and getting a perfect shot if Dirty Harry Callahan can shoot his 44 Magnum one handed around a corner. :lol
Yeah, I can totally believe that was Miller's intention :lol

Yeah, the "TL;DR" version left out some important info. In general, after Pan and the like, WB should look at more proven franchises, which makes sense, really. Why risk it now that you're in a "bad" place?

The whole thing wasn't well thought out. It took Marvel years to built up the confidence and announce so many movies at once, and here comes DC, with just one movie in their Cinematic Universe, and announces films up until 2020. It's a classic case of "counting your chickens before they hatch", which might bite them in the arse if things don't go as planned.

As for Cyborg, he can't really carry a whole film. He's not a big name, he doesn't have a supporting cast, he doesn't have any villains, his story (man in the machine) is played out, and his Teen Titans roots have been severed. His solo ain't lighting the charts on fire anyway. And you can't use the "he hasn't had his boost yet", cause Doctor Strange is doing great numbers and he hasn't had a solo for 2 decades, and wasn't part of a beloved TV show. Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern I get. But Shazam and Cyborg shouldn't have been announced so soon.

Thing is, if they replace Cyborg with Batman they'll cause a massive ****storm, considering they'll be replacing a minority's film with another "straight white dude"'s. It's a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type of deal. Unless Cyborg is the breakout star of JL, I'm not that confident in his solo. Shazam has The Rock so he's safe, but Cyborg? Far too soon. They should've done GL first.

The whole Cyborg deal stinks IMO. They replaced Martian Manhunter with him, severed his ties to the Titans and J'ohn's with the JL, and messed up the whole thing. The O7 were classics, but they needed to fill a quote, so we got Cyborg in the League, and characters like MM, Green Arrow and the like shuffled to the second string JLs, JLA & JLI.

Agreed. Didio, Lee and Johns really screwed the pooch with that nonsense.

Martian Manhunter >>>>>>>> Cyborg. And it's not even close.

I'm not the biggest Mr. Terrific fan because he suffers from the "too smart", as I like to call it, syndrome. Making your character a super-genius is fine, but they took it to whole new levels with him. Blue Marvel was a super-genius, but he studied like a normal smart person. He skipped a few classes and got his doctorate earlier. Same goes for Richards, Stark and the like. But with Terrific, they went above and beyond and gave him 14 doctorates at age 15 or so, which is just absurd. There's a difference between fiction and complete fantasy. Even if he was that smart that he could memorize everything just by looking at it, he was just a normal kid and each day still had 24 hours. He couldn't possibly fit all of his studying in such a small timeframe.

Anyway, if you drop that and make it more believable, say 5 or 6 doctorates at 5 or so, I'm game for it. He's got an interesting backstory/premise (with Fair Play and the like) and kick-*** costume, so I'd be down for such a film. But yeah, Stewart or Holt would've been much better choices.
