But in the Ultimate cut doesn't Superman stay and help? It seemed like it was known that Superman had nothing to do with the explosion.

Alfred: But he is not our enemy!
Bruce Wayne: Not today. Twenty years in Gotham, Alfred; we've seen what promises are worth. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way?

Bruce knows that Supes is not a bad guy.
But he still hates his guts for The destruction he brought with him.
And the destruction he could cause if he decides to rule the planet.
Also the arrival of Supes made him realize tha he is just a man, just like Luthor his Pride is hurt.
And lets not Forget the theme of who decides who lives or dies (superman could have saved Bruce parents maybe, illogical but you see What i mean) power corrupt...
To me Luthor and Bruce hate Supes for the same reasons.

One thing i was hoping the extended cut would fix is how the fight begins.
Supes dont really try hard to not fight. As i said before i like that he gets émotional and makes mistakes.
What could have worked here is Supes keep saying that its Luthor playing them and a crazed Bruce would scream at him "I DONT CARE!!!" At this point Bruce is on edge he is on a suicide mission and nothing will stop him.
That would have turned Bruce on full bad guy mode but would have worked much better to me.

Yup, saving the world and Superman not melting Bats head when they first met wasn't enough for Batman. He was really angry with the type of anger that can only be stopped by saying, ma...ma...martha! :lol

That's the feeling I kind of got from watching it :lol

The movie doesn't work for me because everything seems so forced when it didn't need to be.

Batman only watched the theatrical.

But even if Batman had seen him helping people in Washington or anywhere else that wasn't his core problem with the alien of steel.

:lol :lol :lol

It was but I still don't know why. If they would have left it at Bruce hating just Superman because of the battle of Metropolis that would have worked better in my opinion. It seemed obvious Superman wasn't a bad guy and There were plenty of scene where Bruce should have seen that too.

So Batman is trying to kill Superman because of what he might do someday? And then he decides not to because Sup's mom is also named Martha? Idk watching the extended cut just made the movie worse in my opinion. The movie lacks any subtlety, like that extra scene with Clark speaking to the dude who was branded baby momma, that whole dialogue was terrible, she might as well have just told him that she knows he's Superman and he needs to stop Batman :lol

Most of the extra scenes felt like that to me, it just fleshes out a bad movie.

I don't think it's because of the name Martha. It's because it sunk in. Martha Wayne was murdered. The very reason he became Batman. And he was about to commit murder himself.

I thought it was because sharing the name Martha, and thinking of Superman having a mother at all, humanized Superman to Bruce. He was murdering mother****ers for like two hours prior.

But he committed murder the entire month :lol

That explanation is better though but overall making Batman this cynical actually hurts the story, it seems like something Snyder just shoehorned into the movie and never really had a long term goal with doing that.

I do like murderous Batman though, I hope he keeps killing criminals but I just hope in doesn't interfere with the story :lol

That was my first thought, but Bats mentions Supes' parents before that.

The reason the name is so powerful is that Bats has spent 20 years pulling criminals like weeds in an attempt to atone for his parents' death. The only true way he can find redemption is if "Martha won't die tonight".

Subtlety is not one of Snyder's strengths, unfortunately. That's probably why the film failed on so many levels.

What was the deal with Luthor's egg timer? He has unlimited technology, but he uses an egg timer to show Hopeman how much time he had left? :lol

Just the fact that geeks didn't put together the Martha angle before Snyder made it important makes BvS a winner.

Sorry Jye, but that's like saying that Mr. Incredible and Frozone should never fight because both of their outfits were made by same costumer, Edna Mode.
"Edna, don't rip Edna's suit!"

No clue, everything involving Lex was a bit of a head-scratcher to me.

I can enjoy the movie just because of the visuals but the story is really bad.

Didn't Difabio say something about Suicide Squad being worse? I hope he's wrong because I'm really looking forward to that.
