Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

TWS villain had a great plan, they were stopping at 20 million.

Not to pick on TDKR but TWS found a way to have a story about a hero who is bummed that he missed out on having a relationship with the girl from the previous film, a good organization that was infiltrated by evil, and an old villain organization resurfacing without the hero being responsible, putting innocent lives at stake, or giving up. He just manned up, trained extra hard, made the best of his current situation and did what had to be done.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Agreed. The best parts of SR are better than any single moment in MOS even if the overall film also falls a bit flat.

No F'ing way. :lol I don't care how much anyone hates Man Of Steel, Superman Returns had no redeeming qualities what so ever.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

I actually like the movie, but if you don't, the film still had the John Williams themes, Kevin Spacey, the plane sequence and Superman actually saving people.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Not even the plane rescue?

That was pretty cool. Kevin Spacey played a good Luthor too even if he was a bit over the top at times. The movie as a whole just isn't good, it's like a really high budget soap opera.

Well, that kinda stuff is what I'm saying is better than any given moment in MOS. Plane rescue, stadium landing, Williams theme, lifting sinking ship out of the sea etc etc.

Go get em....

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Apparently it was the one he wanted to tell. Maybe it's not a very "heroic" character, but I don't get the impression Nolan likes comics, or heroes, or Batman in general, so. . .

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

School-bus rescue, oil rig rescue, 1st-flight scene, when Supes presents himself to the military, Zimmer theme.... All better imo.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

There's nothing wrong with seeing the hero go through the wringer and get emotional about it. It'd be boring if they were invincible hard *****.

But didn't we see Nolan Batman go through that in Dark Knight already (and a bit in Begins too) and work it out? There's a difference between being hurt and turning that pain into progress vs. just sitting around all day doing this,

It'd be like if, after being thawed out after the First Avenger, Captain America got all depressed over his lot in life and refused to come out of his apartment. There's so many stories to tell with the character and that's the one you want to tell?

What? The new Hunger Games movie coming out is a big deal! Even for Batman!

:lol Wow. Haters gonna hate. Man Of Steel made me realize how sh**tty SR really was.

Re: Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Not even the plane rescue?

Not just the plain scene, but actually showing Superman as being faster than a bullet, and then getting shot in the eye and not even blinking. Man Of Steel’s action never really did it for me. Other than Faora beating on the military, not much stood out.

:lol Wow. Haters gonna hate. Man Of Steel made me realize how sh**tty SR really was.

The exact opposite happened for me actually. Everyone likes what they like, theres enough Superman movies to please all of us fortunately.
